2024 TC Sapphire MLS - Messi autos!

Didn’t see a thread. This sold out pretty quickly.

169.99 per box - 10 box limit
1699.99 per case - 3 case limit

By my calculation it’s a little over 500 cases total. With Messi autos, sapphire selections, and infinity, this could be a pretty good gamble.

Anyone breaking?

Yep, I got to 500 cases aswell. Should be a good flip hopefully. Took around 45 mins to sell out.

After opening an abysmal box of 2024 Chrome, I had to skip this especially at $169.99.
It's either Messi or bust.

I'll likely join some PYP for some individual players and pickup singles.

The 1/1s will be flying out of cases so if you time it right there is a potential box flip here for $$.

Pretty good odds on the big cards. Messi has 2 autos out of 64 cards. 1 in 32 box chance at a Messi auto. Is Messi Sapphire around a little better than 1 every 2 boxes? Getting a 1/1 better than 1 in 2 cases.

Doubt you will see very much of this stuff being broken. Outside of a few MLS team collectors, nobody is interested in MLS. Autos of the best rookies in the league sell for under $10.

Truth be told, nobody outside of Asia is breaking soccer anymore at these prices. Just look at Cyrus's break page-- he has 4 full case breaks listed (all of which have been sitting for awhile), 3 fillers, and mostly personal boxes. Top of the page is a Marilyn Monroe product.

There hasn't been a new post in the case/box break section of the forums in a month.

Interest has been killed by overproduction and nonsensical costs of opening product.

Just straight up burning money when you can throw $400 at 17 Marilyn Monroe cards. If that actually breaks today I am going to have to tune in just for entertainment.

Soccer breaks have definitely SLOWED but this sapphire product because of the short printed nature will get ripped
as long as the Messi 1/1s aren't pulled in 1 day.
IF his 1/1s are still live, breaks will keep going. The Messi spot will eat up a large chunk of the product cost.
Good thing for MLS collectors is some nice singles will hit the market.

This product will be scarce sealed. I would compare it to Women's UCL.
Very few boxes listed on ebay and similar to MLS that product gets carried by a few players/teams.

Agree. The idea of chasing a Messi MLS second year auto because it is sapphire seems bizarre to me. So many more relevant and better looking Messi autos out there, but good luck to those who want this one.

Did one case break over the weekend, but only hit a couple of Union players /50.

In the case there were no Messi autos, no Messi cards of note.

The case hit Thiago Almada, looked very nice.
A few random MLS players /50 in each box. Maybe 20 total?

Solid looking cards.

Case value would probably be around $500. From a $1,600 case.

Looking at the price, I knew it would be a bloodbath.

It started off as a parallel they sold in complete set format only and not a lot of ppl paid attention to it.

But they went to boxes/packs in 2018 and the Acuña Sapphire RC really put it on the map as one of the best looking cards in the modern era.

Starting in 2019, they overproduced it and starting branching out to everything and yeah...it just became a gimmick, unfortunately.
