I wouldn't be surprised if most of his stuff doesn't see the light for another 10-15 years. The only reason some stuff comes out and hits the market is bc the seller is looking to offload it to add something even better.

And no one is willing to make deals on nice Mahomes rookies either and rightly so.

Occasionally on one of the Mahomes Rookie card groups, you'll get a guy saying that he wants to buy Mahomes rookies for 90% of comps and to hit him up.

I absolutely laugh at those posts…yeah let me give you mahomes rookies for cheap so you can flip it for profit..sure buddy, do I know you or owe you?? Lol

I get it, some people who owns mahomes cards aren’t fans and are purely in it for $$..so I get why some folks flip, not Me…. I do not like to sell let alone sell to someone I know who won’t pc it but to only sell it the next day for profit

I suspect you'll see some nice cards pop up, win or lose in the next month. If they 3 peat, you'll see people trying to cash in. If they lose, you'll see people selling that have been holding out for the 3 peat. You might see some people try to time it as well by listing cards if they make it to the SB. Historically, the worst time to sell is after a SB win, although I wonder if it will be different this time if there is a 3 peat.

Agreed. I believe there are a lot of "investors" look to cash in on a 3-peat, so expect a ton of cards pop up in January (pre SB). While I get really excited this time of year and want to purchase more cards, I will do my best to wait till post SB once pricing comes down in the offseason (which I believe will happen with or without a SB win).

Assuming chargers win, which I think they will since Texans have been bad for a while now..how do you guys think our chances are against the chargers…we barely beat them in the regular season w/ chargers missing dobbins/Ladd..that being said, if playoff mahomes comes out, along with the pedigree of Dhop/Hollywood and rising Worthy, I like our chances … I also think Reid coaching in the playoffs is different too (ex: formations last year against the Bills)…man it’s crazy to think 3 wins away from history..

I would go with Buffalo. Allen is banged up more than people realize. This year's version of Lamar is different.

I'm not gonna lie, there is a small part of me that worries about Playoff Harbaugh (Chargers), but at this point if we can't beat the Texans or Chargers we didn't deserve to move on.

A miracle might take place and the Ravens or Bills could lose in the first round, but I don't see any way they both lose, so if the Chiefs take care of business it will obviously be Chiefs vs. Ravens/Bills to go to the dance.

Gun to my head, I would still want to face the Ravens in cold weather rather than the Bills. Lamar is playing out of his mind, but I still feel like he can get rattled and forced into bad decisions. Not sure the same is for Allen, and we could not stop him earlier in the year.

Yep. He did not look good. Couple times when DE just blew by him without him really touching the guy. Part of the reason that Wentz looked terrible out there. The fact Mahomes has played in this system all year and survived / thrived is remarkable. MVP worthy…

On the scarcity and timing of Mahomes RCs mentioned above, I finally bought my first Mahomes RC on Saturday with some fantasy football winnings. I’m not in the high end market nor frequently watching his prices, but the serial #’d ones I’ve followed seem to appear less often. Didn’t want to pay full playoff hype/ post 3-peat prices, or risk missing out on a card I like. Think I got a fair deal. Will post after getting it from Authentication.

You'll see a lot of Prizm base, lower end autos, and maybe some better 8/9 graded RPAs, but the ultra sought after stuff has moved into stronger hands over the year to people who aren't just in for a 6 month flip. I'd be surprised to see the top tier stuff (Prizm Golds, Finite 1/1s, Gem Mint RPAs) flood the market either way.

My prediction is no prediction.

The post-covid hobby has never seen a young superstar go for a 3 peat in any major sport.

The whole world will be watching it live. If Mahomes and the Chiefs 3 peat, I'm expecting a bazillion BINs to happen like fish in a barrel to buyers who have never spoken English a day in their lives.

Postseason summer market..Will anything even be for sale by then for it to dip? Postseason dips happen to everyone, because no one has ever 3 peated recently for hobbiers to track.

That Buccaneers game was one of his most impressive performances. That loss wasn't on him and he made some of the craziest throws I'd ever seen, the catches just weren't there.
