I was able to snag 20 of the collection boxes, which actually seems like a product that'll do well on secondary market.

Wow that sold out very fast. My lucky day though was able to snag one each hobby and collector box so I am happy.

Thought it was odd that Hobby sold out so quick, site must have not worked initially. Not really a big flipper product.

Surprised to see a product such as this sell out so quickly. An affordable rip I suppose. I wonder how singles will do.......

Right, I was just thinking to myself that have absolutely zero interest in these cards (and pretty much most other product other than flagship chrome/sapphire and maybe cosmic for either ripping wax OR buying singles). Then these were gone in just a few minutes, thought I might be missing something. Interesting for sure. Last edited by RainCityShecks; 01-08-2025 at 02:35 PM. |

For me archives is fun because when I first got into collecting I would buy the all time fan favorites blasters as a kid in 2003 and hit some pretty cool autos but checklist was pretty fun at that point with all the living legendary hall of famers but I still enjoy the hunt for cool on card autos but find the set pretty boring nowadays so I bought a few collectors boxes for the lunch box and auto hunt.

It's simple guys. Master sets can go for $300-$400 (early sales on this one are $550). Base sets are usually $80-$100. It's like Heritage in that you can make back over half your money on the sets alone, so the gamble is much smaller when it comes to the autos, parallels, and short prints. Also keep in mind, this isn't a product with a ton of $2 autos. The Fan Favorites are $10-$20 just for regular guys like Tim Hudson so you can count on a nice return on even the basic autos. It's such a high floor, why not chase those $500 Skenes autos or a low #'d rookie when your investment is practically nothing? It's fun, it's relatively cheap, and it's safe.

Everything is time, money, customers, etc. You have a history of sales on ebay. You have said you do this as something of a part time second job. My personal experience with Heritage is that I don't have to sell base cards or SP's, or inserts separately in order to make much or all of my money back. My experience with Archives is not that and the prices you are citing....I didn't ever get that amount of money when I tried to sell Archives. And I don't have time for Sportslots or COMC or listing $1 and $2 cards on ebay. So stuff either sells in lots or I just keep it. Ask my 3200 count boxes LOL. Allen & Ginter, well I just accept that I'm losing money on that one ![]() Come to think of it, if I can get $300 a piece for master sets of Archives from 2012 to 2019, I think I would be a very happy camper and willing to sell right now. |
