Jeffries cards sell for a lot more than most people would guess.

The hype was as big as just about any prospect. Can't miss.

1988 Fleer from what I can remember was more in demand than the Donruss, but yes, I think they were between like 8-15 bucks. Big money at the time.

Got many many many bowman chrome prospects that never did anything.

Last one was Alek Thomas. While he did play and IMO did decent he never took off. Got sent back down to the minors at least twice, not sure what’s going to happen in 2025 season.

Victor Robles and Miguel Andujar. I'm still holding out hope!

My first would have been Joe Charboneau. Fell off a cliff.

1998 Fleer RC Mark Grace/Damon Berryhill. I have at least 50 of them when I was hoarding him..... and I still have them, most would probaly grade PSA 10 and worth $O.

omg, gonna show my age AND junk wax at its peak all in one.

ruben sierra - texas rangers 1987 topps (i believe he was 21 years old)

i worked on the grounds crew for the rangers in 1987 and was "smitten".

signed balls, a bat, once in a while played catch, he was an upcoming stud,
i thought. very, very quiet, played hard. 30 hr, 18 sb as a 21 year old.

i thought he had star/hof written all over him. this was back when you could order through the mail, i ordered 50 1987 topps ruben sierra's.

yet another reason i only collect VINTAGE hof's, haha.

From a baseball perspective (& not the hobby), nearly every Cubs prospect. Prior was an absolute killer. I loved Corey Patterson too.

As a Royals fan, definitely Bubba Starling. Now I didn't buy a bunch of cards but him being selected as the local kid and expected to be a star made any Royals fan super excited for him to be hitting dingers at the K and flying around the outfield like Bo Jackson. Sadly he couldn't put it together and struggled mightily before he got the chance to be called up and struggling at the big league level. I wonder what his career would have been like if he chose football instead
