Hopefully the snow comes first, that won't make it as bad. Sounds like you will get some power issues though, hopefully not as bad as earlier this year.

I'm not on the Board of Education nor have they sent anything out on why they made the call to keep schools closed another day. According to my HOA e-mail, VDOT has 48 hours to complete plowing after the snow storm stops. Considering it stopped on Monday at 11PM, that gives them until 11PM Wednesday to get all roads plowed. The decision to close schools for today was made earlier than that, so maybe they had information indicating they weren't going to be completed with some of the roads by then that would impact kids being able to get on busses this morning.

School district just announced e-learning for tomorrow. As soon as it got announced, I had coaches texting asking if games are canceled for Saturday. Parents were asking last night.

If I were in a location where I had to choose between a snowstorm of an ice storm, I would choose snow all day every day. Too many things can go wrong with an ice storm.

My doctor from Gainesville is running late. Instead of going all the way up there for a routine visit, I am doing it through a Zoom meeting. The call I just got said she is running about 20 minutes late. Communication with them has always been first class.

Others can attest to it. I cannot. I have never had alcohol in my life (unless it is some sort of cough medicine ). My health was already too messed up and I was on too many meds by the time I would have started drinking. By that time, I never wanted to lose control again, so I never started drinking.

I haven't had any since October 2020 at a golf tournament I was playing in. When we go out, my friend will get a mixed drink, but I just don't care to drink. She asked if it was a problem that she had a mixed drink around me and I told her no. I didn't have a drinking problem or anything, I just decided not to drink anymore.
