Default First submission … got my first …

PSA 10! 1 for 1 isn’t bad this will obviously always be the case when I submit lol
I think this card is a hold for 10 years correct? Surging sparks is going to be folklore imo and how it started the great empty shelf era. Opinions welcome

All alt arts/illustration rares/SIR are long term holds especially in a PSA 10

It is impossible to say but the first alt arts are still going up now 6-8 years later. I think as long as alt arts are popular they will increase in demand.

It’s already a heavily manipulated area. Related, look at Pikachu Van Gogh PSA 10s. Over 32k copies. A card that was already shilled has gone from $500 to $750 in 2 weeks. Very few legitimate bids.

In the same time period, Moonbreon has gone from $2k to $3k. It’s not real. Not to say prices will collapse next week, but they will at some point.

pokemon now feels like sports cards in 2020, everything sold out and botted, and everything keeps going up.

I don't get the Van Gogh Pikachu, crazy. But Moonbreon has to be the most in demand Pokemon card ever, every kid and collector wants one in their collection. Imagine when all these current Pokemon kids get disposable income. Pokemon will be much bigger than sports cards and those future collectors will likely be wanting PSA 10s.

Pokemon already is, and will continue to be bigger. But we know BS when we see it.

Agree and many sports investors are now in Pokemon. They usually spend thousands on unproven players, ripping multi-thousand boxes. The price of boxes mean very little to them. There will be lots of short term flippers, but they will encounter an International presence, with lots of holders of cards. Pokémon is different because it is one set with one key chase card. For instance, your card in sports would have 3-5 different variations from products alone. 15K PSA 10’s for Moonbreon is nothing for a worldwide market. Also 2026 is the 30th Anniversary of Pokemon. This bull market will obviously cool some, but it will not be like the sports bubble.

Pokémon went crazy just like sports cards during the pandemic. Both cooled off from the peak yet in recent months Pokémon is surging again. My local big box stores can't keep any on the shelves. I largely got out of grading modern Pokémon a couple years ago when the returns cratered. Then I had enough to cobble together a small sub that sold out in a week. Pokémon seems to be back with a vengeance. Enough so that I can no longer just skip the TCG tables at the next card shows.
