I've seen it a few times from the big three. Essentially it's a no discount for buying in bulk and the common practice of having the pre-tax price end in .99.

They changed insert parallels too, going from Blue, Black (/299), Gold (/75), Red (/10) and Platinum (1/1) to Pink Foil (600 copies), Blue Foil (/150), Green Foil (/99), Gold Foil (/50), Orange Foil (/25), Black Foil (/10), Red Foil (/5), and Foilfractors (1/1).

Not as bad but there's more you can do with paper cards than just holofoiling them.

Just me rambling but who knows.

Pokemon has taken the collecting community by storm and what are the most collectible/desirable cards ? Holofoils

Anybody who thinks Fanatics/Topps isn't paying attention and just randomly decided to add all those holofoil colors is crazy. Now whether it blows up in their face time will tell.

My bad, I actually meant the Black Spackle Foils, not Black Sparkle Foils.

You don't remember them? They were the blaster exclusive parallel with a bucket of drywall mud and a drywall knife in the background.

So basically according to the checklist, if you got called up after August 31st, your card will be in 2025 Topps Series 2 along with whoever begins the year with their respective teams.

Forgive if someone already posted, Rickey Henderson is on the auto checklist for the 1990 cards, I believe the 35yr design are all on card. That means Rickey’s auto may have been signed just a few days/weeks before his passing.

glad they started numbering what were the unnumbered blues (approx. 600 copies) to pink foil numbered to 600.
Although pink would not have been my choise.

Man, the other thread “2025 Topps Series 1 Design Revealed’ has gone off the rails with the chatter over there.

Let’s talk about the release.

Anyone preorder? Did you guys checkout the checklist and odds? What platform you picking up if any? For you math wizards, did you figure out what the best cost per parallel is and did that determine what you’re buying?

I was on the fence and will likely end up picking up some retail but the checklist just doesn't do anything for me. A lot of RC's but 9/10 of them most people have never heard of and even with parallels numbered lower on average even a /10 Black Foil of the wrong RC doesn't justify the cost of a hobby or Jumbo box. From a financial standpoint the odds are just too high to get anything of substance. Gonna be a lot of blood baths on this one I think.

Not sure of a blood bath on Series 1 but hear what you're saying. Wood and Crews should help this set along pretty well. I'd be more worried about Series 2 than Series 1. I don't think even Sasaki will do it for that set. They would need Roman Anthony, Kristin Campbell, Jac Caglianone, Deyvision De Los Santos, Matt Shaw and Bubba Chandler to all make the team right out of Spring Training. That way they'd be in Series 2. That would be a killer Series to load up on.

I picked up a case of jumbo for fun. The high end RCs may not pop off the page, but I'm alot more bullish on the mid-level RCs in this class than most others it seems.

The link you posted goes to a 404 not found blank page. And the link on Topps has been removed and a "coming soon" note was added.

The leaked parallel list had clears on it, the odds sheet did not. There are issues somewhere.

Edit: Looks like Topps put the odds back up around 11:00 am CST
