Default Can someone tell me what this Jordan card is?

Can anybody tell me what this Jordan card is? I have never seen one graded before. In fact, I have never seen another one like it before. I have gotten 2 different reviews on it. I sent it to PSA and they did not grade it. They sent it back... when I called and asked why? They said it was a prototype... and they don't grade prototypes. I then had someone at SGC look at it, and they said it was definitely a real card... but only a common Quick Strike, just in rough condition which created the unique design.

I could not believe that answer. The card is actually in good shape. If I had to guess I would say that it would grade an 8 or thereabouts. On a good day, could even get a 9. Surely the design of the card did not occur just because of condition.

What say you? Any help would truly be appreciated? As it stands, the card is somewhere between a prototype... maybe a common... or some other variation... and strictly a mystery to me at this point. Hopefully some of you surreal blowout detectives can help me out.

Attached I have included a side by sides of the known regular Quick Strike, next to the card I am trying to identify. AT ALL TIMES THE CARD ON THE RIGHT SIDE IS THE CARD I AM TRYNIG TO IDENTIFY. I have also included pictures of the card I am trying to identify alone by itself - front and back.

Many thank you's in advance.

I appreciate that. But you can clearly see that the design is IMBEDDED into the card. "Condition" will not cause a whole new design inside the card itself.

I wish you could see it under microscope. I will try to upload some pics like that later. But trust me, the card "was designed with those marks on it".

Its unlike any other Quick Strike that I have ever seen. Please help. Thanks

Wow!!! Great finds guys. Blowout detectives strike again. Another mystery solved. So what causes that? Or is it just designed that way -- to be another version of a regular Quick Strike?

This one (the one I have) seems so perfectly symmetrical too -- meaning the marks ... like it had to be part of the plan/design/mockup for the card.

If you know, please let me know.

Anyhow, as I wrote before, many thank you's.... truly appreciated.

I don't know if this is the answer but I've seen the same type of damage on cards that were bricked.

When you peel them apart the back of one gets stuck to the front of another

Ahhh yes.... that must be it. Wow! You guys are incredible. I sat on this card for 6 months or so, wondering what it was. All it took was the bright idea to post here... something I should have done right away

Thank you again so much!!!

Lol @ psa saying it’s a prototype. I pulled the same card at release after buying a couple packs.

They’re notorious for having a condition sensitive surface and often have those print dots right out of the pack (even back then), but that’s one of the worst examples I’ve seen.

The foil peeled from sticking to another card, a binder page or some other type of holder.

I have seen quite a few with the black dots and I remember it being called the "dalmatian" effect haha.

Looks like a bedroom wall in Florida when you don't run the air conditioning for an entire summer.

BGS is pretty lenient. 8.5 is a fairly low grade for surface, perhaps they did consider the surface issue. Alternatively, the card may have been graded before the surface started to deteriorate. It can happen.
