Most of the bookplates from a later release are autopen signatures. See post 4918 above for reference. The shaky-looking signatures appear to be legitimate, while the autopen versions are not even close to resembling the real ones.

My first/early order from BAM had good signatures.

In some instances, Waterstones has had a larger format book that was of nicer quality like the Gillian Anderson book. I've definitely locked in some names I wanted from Waterstones that later appeared on cheaper outlets. That's up to people who want to wait and see.

For this particular book, I'm more interested in reading about his experience than the actual auto (though I want both).

But for future releases, I'll definitely consider this detail.
