I’ll take the team with the best defense, and which also scored a record 55 points on offense in the NFC Championship game.

Also won 15 of the last 16 games, with the only loss being by a FG where Hurts left the game in the first quarter.

Go birds!

The Chiefs are inevitable.

Chiefs vs. <team with top ranked D that is on paper better at every position group except QB & TE if you separate that from reciever>

Sounds like all 3 of the KC Super Bowl wins this decade. Seems like the QB position may be pretty important, guys.

They should have inserted Tanner McKee, they might have won all 16

Wait, wait you're telling me the Eagles went 14-3 with a huge point differential? We'll I'll be. Bet the farm. There is no way the Eagles could lose a SB to the Chiefs in this exact situation!

Sounds like the same argument in 2018 when the Eagles beat Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.

Oh I'm well aware the Chiefs could lose. Any Given Sunday and all that.

I'm just moderately amused at people talking themselves into Eagles picks with the exact same arguments as last time.

KC played the Pats a couple times in the playoffs and I was at least honest with myself going in about Touchdown Tom, playoff experience and clutch factor.

I'm an Eagles fan, but I also like to think that I am pretty even-keeled, I'm definitely not a crazy delusional fanboy, and I never resort to calling people other names or trolling (except Delta little bit this year, but he deserved every bit of it - I don't know how many times I had to tell him I didn't care about Barkley winning MVP when he'd interrupt a thread on the Eagles game ("hahhaha 7 carries 22 yds yeah mvp ok lol). I would have thrown a shoe at him if I could. Anyway...

The Chiefs and Eagles played in Super Bowl LVII (two years ago) and lost 38-35. With literally seconds left on the clock.

There's no doubt that the Chiefs are winners.

I just look at both teams, and I feel this years' Chiefs team is not as strong as the team from two years ago, whereas this Philadelphia team is much improved from the team that played in the Super Bowl two years ago.

The Chiefs certainly have those intangibles, but there's some magic dust in the air in Philly this year as well. This KC fairy tale has to end at some point, and the Eagles have the players who can get it done.

So that's what my gut is telling me right now, Philly brings it back to Broad Street. We have two weeks to chat about it and analyze it, but that was my feeling after watching both game yesterday.

Anyway, Happy Monday all, back to the grind - two weeks until the Big Game!!

This should be a great game. I like Andy and Spags with two weeks of prep. Always. This is the greatest coaching duo in the history of the league. They have showed time and again they are maximally prepared for every situation. So as long as the Chiefs don’t turn the ball over, they’ll get the W.

Comedy people believe the Eagles can win this. It has nothing to do with talent on the field.

The Eagles are better than the Bills but, much like the Bills, they will find a way to lose. Throw in the omnipresent referee bias in favor of KC and that's that. KC 31-27.

Can't wait for the refs to move a first-down spot back a yard in the 4th Q and cost the Eagles the drive and the game.

KC lineman rips off the Bills' pass rushers helmet after two hands to the face, uncalled. Right before the game-winning FG.

Worthy doesn't catch a pass inside the 5, but they give it to him anyway.

Every game there's so many of these. Every. single. game.

Cry more. Anyone who is sold on the spot of that ball is certifiable.

I don't remember seeing the second one, but maybe he needs to strap up a little better.

The catch made absolutely no difference. There was already a flag. Chiefs just take more time to score and the Bills don't get that second TD in the first half.

Grow up baby.

This will be the first time since 1983 that I won't be watching a Super Bowl. It's just so predictably boring at this point. Tom Brady made 13 AFC Championship games and 10 Super Bowls in 20 years. Now Patrick Mahomes comes along and reaches 7 consecutive AFC Championship games and is now playing in his 5th Super Bowl. It's ridiculous and frankly, it's boring unless you're a fan of the teams those two players suit up for. The league used to pride itself on parity, which at least kept things interesting. Now, things feel about as formulaic as a Hulk Hogan match.

Gee, I wonder if Hulk will Hulk up and drop the big leg.

Gee, I wonder if Mahomes will lead his team downfield for a game-winning score.

And the whole idea that the game is scripted is just out of control. I don't know if the game is scripted or not, but the NFL clearly has an officiating problem. It still baffles me how a league making billions of dollars doesn't hire full-time officials, doesn't have more officials in the booth watching for key penalties, and doesn't have a more effective replay system.

It made 21 yards worth of difference, putting the ball on the 3 instead of the 24. There's no way to know how things play out but 21 yards is no small amount. Saying "the catch made absolutely no difference" is just a lie.

Anyone but me notice how Chiefs fans are getting even more and more defensive over this subject, combined with the requisite personal attacks?

Are you saying the NFL should stipulate that the refs are not allowed to work side jobs?

I'm pretty sure NFL refs make $150K+ so they don't have to get other jobs unless they want to (and yes, most do). But that's pretty good scratch for like 20 days of work.

100%.

Hurts had the fumble in Eagles territory in Super Bowl LVII (played on 2/12/2023) that made the difference in the Chiefs winning 38-35.

The next time they played was the following regular season, on 11/20/2023. The Eagles won 21-17 at Arrowhead, and the difference was that Kelce had a catch/fumble in the red zone with the lead in the 4th quarter - and the Eagles marched it down the field the other way and scored to make it 21-17, a score that held up for the final eight minutes and gave the Eagles the W.

The Eagles are going to outplay the Chiefs and win the turnover battle, because Reid and staff are going to have a gameplan ready to shut down all of the Eagles' strengths. At the same time, I trust Fangio to be able to put together a solid gameplan to contain Mahomes but again, on the Eagles to execute it.

"Baby" = personal. Lol. Your last 362 posts have mentioned something about referee bias. What do you expect to get in response?

It is sad you and so many others resort to excuses that did NOT determine the result of the game...at all. Buffalo, just like Houston last week, had plenty chances to go get a victory, but simply couldn't execute.

What would be even more sad is if you were a Pats fan, who lived through a similar era of treatment for your own superstar, and fail to see the hypocrisy in your whining.

Eagles, hands down the best team in football this year. This coaching staff is so good.

Hopefully the oline can get healthy but man... saquon coming to philly was the best thing to happen in recent history (besides resigning nick foles).

However, never doubt Andy Reid and Patty.

I'm going Eagles by 15

Cool narrative.

Eagles lost to Brady on a game winning field goal then got revenge.

Eagles lost to Mahomes on a game winning field goal, and now get their chance.
