Picking with my heart I would say Wyatt Langford as a Rangers fan. Picking with my brain I will say Jarren Duran. He was awesome last year but not many accolades, he could really explode this year.

Greene led NL pitchers in WAR last season, kind of already broke out. Not his fault the Cy Young is based on nothing

Jarren Duran finished in the top 10 in MVP voting, he broke out last year.

I can see some pitcher who has been hurt (Tommy John or just not healthy) having a bounceback/breakout.
Maybe Triston McKenzie, I would say Dustin May but too many pitchers on the Dodgers, but maybe a journeyman who finds his footing for 1 year.

But he only started 26 games (a career high), and fell out of the Cy Young discussion altogether because he wasn’t available down the stretch. He needs to finish a complete season, strike out 225-250 batters, win a Cy Young, and suggest to people that he’s a Scherzer/Verlander-type for the next decade-plus. It’s very doable for him. As long as he can stay healthy. And then he and Skenes can embark on a fun rivalry of NL Central aces. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm liking Jordan Westburg. Big jump from 2023 in 2024. More to come.

I'd go Wyatt Langford, Jackson Holliday and Lawrence Butler. Big problem with Butler will be he's playing in Sacramento. His numbers were solid as a rookie with 20/20. Holliday, I think maybe not an MVP candidate but I can see improving quite a bit from what we saw last year. His defense picked up towards the end of the season. He seems to have the drive to want to hit better too. Langford, I'd bet hits 30 home runs.

^^^ I truly hope so! Just gotta keep him on the field
I was going to say Brendan Rodgers for the 9th year in a row, but he doesn’t have a team yet |

I don't think Bello has "it" as far as becoming a #1 goes. But I think he can be a productive #3 starter for years to come. But I hope I'm wrong and he has more upside than what I'm giving him!
Rafaela showed flashes of real superstar talent last year, but was never able to sustain it long-term. Hoping after a year of playing regularly, he can put it all together over the course of a whole season. |
