Jackson Holliday - he’s had too many Scouts in the past think he’s the real deal, to not be (hopefully ~ you just never know for sure)

Jasson Dominguez and he's going to bring it home for back to back Yankees ROYs.

He’s my pick also. He would be viewed as last year’s breakout if he hadn’t missed 1/3 of the season with the hand. His stats were equal to Gunner’s and Adley’s prior to the injury.

Brenton Doyle. He had the quietest 20 hr /30 sb season + his 2nd gold glove in a row for CF in NL last year. The only thing stopping a 30 /30 season is his k rate.

I do not think the Martian is a bust so I'll pick him. I also think Vladdy will have a big year in his contract season.

hitting: Roman Anthony will be loving Fenway Park if they decide he wins an Opening Day roster spot

pitching: Ben Joyce might be able to put it together as an elite closer but how many saves chances will the Angels be able to give him. Main thing HE needs to do is get the walks down more

Sacramento actually isn’t much of a launching pad. The PCL effect is more due to stadiums in Reno, Vegas, SLC, Albuquerque, and El Paso all having mile-high effects. Sacto is at a 26’ elevation.

Sutter Health Field (Sacto) is a little smaller than the Oakland Coliseum, but the the bigger reasons I can see it being more friendly are the significant drop in foul territory and potentially the weather / heat.

Foul territory in Oakland was ridiculous. That’s a good point. Meanwhile, Sutter is very forgiving...

Oakland has pretty nice weather, but Sacramento’s 108-degree days are friendlier to hitters.

Mount Davis was also said to have an adverse effect on travel distance.

He seems to have the drive to want to hit better too. Langford, I'd bet hits 30 home runs.

Well dang, all Holliday has to do is hit north of .200 and that would be an improvement. I guess if he can go .250 that’d be considered next level.
Did his dad ever go < .250?

Don’t mean to make fun as I’d go 0 for the season.

Wyatt Langford is my second pick. A lot of people gave up on him after his slow start. I expect monster numbers this year and he will be one of the hottest players in the card market by summer.

We don't know how his dad would have done in MLB at 20 years old because he didn't make the majors until he was 24. That has to mean something in the analysis. You have to remember, Jackson was the developmental age of a low A player, hitting against major league pitchers. Give him time.

There we go! This is better. Feed into my delusions of Fantasy Baseball grandeur when I wildly overdraft Butler…

It’s very doable for him. As long as he can stay healthy.

And then he and Skenes can embark on a fun rivalry of NL Central aces.

CY young is meaningless, it’s a voted on award. So to have a breakout year in your eyes, he needs to just get voting attention? He was the leader in WAR in the NL and tied with Skubal for MLB lead. Literally a metric that said he was the best.

I’ll take Analytics over accolades
