If Mavs really approached Lakers, it just confirms what I've always thought about Luka. He's a basketball savant who arrived in the NBA near his peak, and the key thing missing is he simply doesn't care enough about being the GOAT and winning chips. He's closer to Zion's mentality than Wemby's mentality in terms of young players and it's a shame

I'm guessing Luka wanted another contract before the player option year and the Mavs weren't interested for some odd reason? Laker's Doncic jersey about to be #1. I wonder if LeBron had anything to do with it or is just as shocked. Maybe the Laker's GM wanted a reason not to care if LeBron walks.
