Actually that's a pretty good. Those two holding down the 5 and AD as their power forward. At minimum it is a huge defensive upgrade for Dallas.

Luka is THE reason why they were in the Finals last year, and I didn't say he doesn't care about winning. It's obvious he does and that he hates losing, most professional atheletes are like that. I said he doesn't care ENOUGH, especially about being the GOAT or about winning the CHAMPIONSHIP.

Maybe I missed it but has he ever said he wants to be the greatest to ever play the game? Has he ever said he's willing to do whatever it takes to win? That his only goal is in life is to win Championships?

He sure as hell doesn't seem like it when he can't stay in shape and can't stop playing video games. Everybody wants to win, that's a given. Not everybody wants the work that goes with it. And almost nobody is willing to give their life for it. 100% not Luka, but who know's maybe joining the LA vape cabal will help him grow lol

Real life Game of Thrones stuff by the Lakers front office. Clearly, they want out of the Lebron business, which is why he didn't know about this. And now the Lakers have Leberon's replacement and they have his son under contract for 3 more years.

If I were the Lakers I'd make Lebron take a trade now to the Warriors for something like Wiggins and Kuminga and stop him from opting out for nothing later. And he gets to take Bronny with him, that's the deal. Otherwise he better not opt out or they'll make Bronny's life a living hell if Lebron's not there.

I agree, it's the stupidest trade ever to trade an All NBA, MVP level, future HOF player who's 25 for anything less than the same thing if that's even possible.

But nobody is saying it's the stupidest trade ever because Luka is going to win the Mavs a championship now or anytime soon. Similarly, nobody is saying the Lakers pulled off the craziest trade ever because now the Lakers are going to win a championship with Luka. Instead, everybody expects Lakers to lose 150pt games now instead of 130pt games.

Luka can be a basketball savant and an all time great player yet still not be a champion or GOAT level player.

The only winner in this trade is Anthony Davis. He'll get a chance to flourish like his pre-LeBron trajectory indicated he could, for one or two more seasons before he fizzles out for good.

People underestimate the degree to which LeBron is a black hole for stars. Luka better hope this forces him into retirement at the end of the season.

All things considered, this is a dumbfounding trade on every level and I find it hard to believe that there aren't some hidden hands at play.

I'm sorry I'm not writing him off as not a champion yet when he literally was in the Finals last year. You act like Luka's done nothing in the playoffs. His career isn't over.
