Most of my best pulls are from cheap retail as the only hobby shop somewhat close to me is overpriced and I don’t like ordering online. When my wife used to surprise me with blasters I don’t know how she did it but the boxes she gave me always had better cards than the ones I bought myself.

I had my mom grab a blaster of Topps Chrome baseball once for me and it was a X-Fractor hot box.

You had me looking at cheap cases and I found something that may be worth buying...

My last good football hit was a Jayden Daniels red press proof rookie from a donruss blaster. I can’t remember my last good football autograph that I hit.

I wish she had that skill. I have tested it at home after I have bought 4 blasters at the same time and there really is no rhyme or reason to it. I couldn’t be bothered trying to do something like that in a store.

I bought a bunch of those boxes from Menards, pack price would work out to be a little less than that. Menards does cards btw if you have one in your area (I'd never heard of them before last week.)

Wish boxes were still that price, people shelling out $500-1000 for hobby boxes won't ever seem normal to me.

My one buddy always pulls the better cards, last year's SB break he pulled an Eddie George I sold for $2k and of course had no idea it was valuable. This year he already picked a box early and pulled an expensive Jayden RC.

Those Press Proofs are near impossible to find without some tiny corner whitening.

I know. I wanted to open a WNBA Select hobby with my friend's daughter. Went to the LCS to get one and they were asking almost $700!!!! I got Prizm last year for less than $80 a box, Clark being a rookie doesn't add $620 in value in my mind.

The last blaster my wife bought me was a 2024 Topps update because she actually pays attention to what I buy. I pulled one of those yellow crackle cards of Gerrit Cole to 50. Although I am not the biggest Cole fan it fit nicely into my Yankees pc.

Yes most cards with a colored border are nearly impossible to grade a 10. I have never sent a card in for grading but I do think about it and always chicken out.

Nope because at the end of the day even if you pulled a Clark unless it was a low numbered parallel you wouldn’t get much, and most of the other cards are worthless. I like when the top players in the leagues are balanced out as I never liked hoping to hit the one top player. I think baseball right now gives you the best value player wise but I don’t collect enough of the other sports to know how true that is. I will tell you a product I will stay away from retail wise and that is 2025 Topps series 1 retail. I have watched quite a few breaks and numbered cards and relics seem impossible to hit this year.

2001 upper deck golf was a fun product.

I had 3 boxes of it, and 24 boxes of the MLS. Spent around $300 total.

I would rather the power be out due to weather than something I have no clue about. My wife called and they said they were working on something. A little advance notice might’ve been nice. Like in between 10 and 12 O’clock we will be upgrading a system or whatever. Just sucks to be going about your day and then blam no power.

I recently grabbed a 20 pack "Breakers Brick" of Wild Card Decades. Beautiful cards but they don't appear to have much resale value. The autograph was Debbie Gibson.

Nope no Menards but there are some places like Best Buy and Lowe’s that sell cards and I only found out recently.
