Fangio's style forces long grindy drives. A great day at the office for Mahomes would be a stellar completion %, no turnovers, few sacks taken and a big rushing line. I wouldn't get hopes up too high for huge passing yards. You'd need multiple big YAC plays and/or Andy Reid specials that catch em completely off gaurd. Passing TDs as always are highly variable.

If that's the standard you set then by your own logic, Brady owned Mahomes, not once, TWICE.

Brady never played defense in his life. He never stopped Mahomes.

Those are actual quotes, folks. I can't make this up.

Zero chance 4-0 is better than 4-1.

Mahomes thoroughly outplayed Brady in that AFCC as well. But Brady got the W so I understand people not having the intelligence to dig into the nuance.

You just dont get it. I was trying to make a point of the absurdity. It is stupid to claim a QB beat another when they arent even on the field at the same time.

Hence the part where I wrote: "If that's the standard you set then by your own logic...."

Wow, it must really irritate that Brady won that game for you to fall straight into personal attacks.

Though it is funny how all season long this year, all we heard was the Chiefs' record was the best in the League and they didn't care when Mahomes played poorly as long as they won. Now, all of a sudden, we are back to stats mattering more than who actually won the game.

Here comes the insecure Brady fan....

Brady had his run. It was great. Just sit back and enjoy the greatness of Mahomes as well. I promise you, it's more fun that way.

This is a football discussion forum. The subject, which I did not bring up, is Mahomes versus Brady. I participated in the discussion, and will continue to do so. Any comment that that makes me "insecure" is really just projection from people desperately trying to pretend 4 is better than 7.

That is exactly what I am doing, especially since I am making so much money off of it.

4-0 is better than 4-1 there is something to be said for not losing in the Super Bowl. Anyway good luck men just please don't use double standards like was illustrated in the previous comments. Even though MJ is the GOAT we wouldn't have any silly discussions if they played against each other in the post season or the Finals yet the media is so desperate for click bait they keep trying the shoe horn Kermit into the discussion. He's a long long way from entering the discussion.

Lol. Of course it is better to lose in the first round instead of the Super Bowl.

It wasn't personal unless you chose to identify with it

2018 AFCC

Brady: 77.1 QB rating
Mahomes: 117 QB rating

Pats got the W though so that's all that matters, honestly. It's just Brady didn't beat down Mahomes in this game. Objectively Mahomes outplayed him but didn't get the W.

Not when it comes to discussing Super Bowls. It is not better to get eliminated early in the playoffs (or not make the playoffs at all) than it is to make it to the Finals and lose.

Now, to be clear.... the first number is overwhelmingly the most important one so, for example, 3-0 is better than 2-5. (In the NFL's Super Bowl era, there isn't anyone who is 2-5, but I am speaking hypothetically)

Considering I am the only Brady fan in at least the past 7 days, yes.

Who do think he is referring to?

Now you're finally making sense.

Right, lets see their overall playoff record.
Also, wish people would stop bringing Jordan into football GOAT discussions. There is not anyone like Jordan in football.

True.

Any “Patel Mel” Mahomes certified RC autos should be hoarded.

Probably the guy defending Brady because he wants his PSA 5 to hold value

So you think it is more likely he was responding to the guy who hadn't posted in a week than he was responding to the guy who posted 4 times today?

I have to disagree there.
