I've been trying to list a Mahomes card on eBay for roughly 30 hours. Is there some sort of Mahomes-Glitch that would prevent cards from being listed right now?

Listed yesterday afternoon and it didn't post immediately so waited 6-8 hours and figured I had messed up the listing in some way so went through and edited a couple times to take out special characters, etc (making sure no words could have been offensive).

Should have left it up for the full 24 hours but I've never had this happen with another listing so decided to end that listing, which showed as active despite never being actually searchable, and list a separate one. Same thing happened. Got an email saying my listing was live but couldn't find it and it got zero views. Tried adding on some "promoted" advertising to see if that would quicken things and nothing. Then an hour ago, tried changing to 24-hour auction. Nothing. I've since ended that listing and tried to re-list as BIN. Obviously wanted to have it listed for the SB tomorrow.

Anyone have something similar happen or have advice?

I've had this happen before with other players (like connor bedard). Ebay indexes listings sometimes and it's frustrating. I dont think there's anything you can do

That is wild. I have only ever had this happen with Mahomes and no one else. Probably like two years ago I kept trying to list an optic rookie 9.5 and it would not show up in search results even though all my other listings would. It was the weirdest thing and I ended up selling it on Instagram because I literally could not get the listing to show on eBay. Are you trying to do auction or buy it now?

Imagine sticking with the same strategy of trying to talk down a potential Mahomes dynasty.......in a Mahomes thread.... where anybody posting here who had high value cards in 2020 or earlier has already cashed in to the tune of 5 or 6 (hell, maybe even 7) figures and probably has another 5 of 6 figures behind it to this day..... in order to try and prop up one of the biggest missed opportunities to profit off of a single sports card that any of us reading this have ever seen.

I would go the other way and say no.

Two things:
1) It's a great card, but getting unaffordable to many buyers ... very limited market on it. It'll get more and more unreachable, like other high end Mahomes.
2) It is faked a ton already, will be even more going forward as Mahomes card values increase. That'll only hurt already limited buyer pool. To be iconic, a card has to have volume... check out MJ, Brady, Montana, Moss, whoever.

...I'd say your 'iconic' Mahomes RCs are Donruss base 327, Optic, Prizm... possibly Panini base, Contenders ROY. Select is popular but not as much as the others. The variations Optic Holo, Optic red/yellow, Donruss red press proof, silver Prizm are sought-after and fair volume too.

The budget Pat RCs are your Panini base, Contenders ROY, Playoff, Crown Royale, Rookies & Stars. Their parallels are slower to move and harder to comp, but the base PM2 rook cards sell every single day.

The ones like Phoenix and Donruss Elite are a bit wacky as they're not super high value yet not high pop and values variable. Many parallels, numbered and color. Ditto for RPAs and Autos and most high end... very dependent on finding the right buyer/seller.

NCAA jersey ones are the bottom of the barrell... Score, Prestige, HIIT, etc Mahomes with college jersey. They're basically for ppl who cant afford a real one (but they're still getting $100+ psa 10s).

While 9 is greater than 6, I maintain my opinion that I would rather my team had 6 championships where I can remember each one of than have 9 championships where the vast majority of living souls on this planet can only remember more than 2 of 'em.

I do not see anyone in here trying to "talk down" the Mahomes dynasty, but if one was being intellectually honest, one would acknowledge that the topic of Brady versus Mahomes is probably the hottest debate in football right now, someone (once again) brought that subject up in this thread, and that is naturally going to invite in all the usual people saying all the usual things (myself included).

The worst I have seen people "talk down a potential Mahomes dynasty" is those who feel he has not yet passed Brady. He is certainly on a pace to, but he hasn't yet.
