Anyone know if Topps is pulling the black parallel out of Topps UK (assuming that product hasn't also been chopped) too?

If we can't have the regular black parallel, I'd at least like to have the poor man's black parallel.

At least Topps Gold survives. Once that is gone, I'm probably done with new issue cards.

Pretty much kills my collection. I try to get Topps black Braves RC every year and was really looking forward to Schwellenbach. Oh well.

$30 or $400 to grade. The card is the card no matter where it is sent for grading.

I’m restarting my collection via occasional breaks and I’ve decided I want a consistent grade of whatever I send. I like the transparent slabs and the possibility of a pristine grade as well

No way that gets a pristine from any grading company with that right edge and overall surface. Still, great card - one of the best 2nd year Verlander cards you could ever pull from a pack.

Does the card change?

It's a PC card and the owner already stated he wants to see why the card got the grade it did.

That's irrelevant for a PC card. If he decides to sell it, he can cross it to whatever is the #1 selling grader at that time (which may or may not be PSA).

The problem with grading everything with PSA just because they sell for the most is that it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, even if PSA shouldn't sell for the most. The only way to affect change is to grade with who is the best, and sacrifice theoretical current value.
