Definitely, going to their site, I see that last name written similarly on their artwork:

Pretty funny to see autographs from Walter Flanagan only a few years after he basically said (on an episode of "Comic Book Men") that trading cards were worthless garbage he wasn't willing to stock in the Secret Stash retail store. I wonder if these are on sale there.

He signed for the 2017 Clerks trading card set too and drew a "Walt's Art" insert set.

Yeah, around that time, I remember the Secret Stash's Ebay account sold a couple of boxes of Upper Deck "Alien" really cheap. I'm assuming UD sent the store a couple of comp boxes of that along with some "Clerks" cards, and Walt just told whoever handles their Ebay account to just dump them there. Wish I'd seen them before someone used the Buy-it-now on them, because they were really cheap, well under retail.

He's got a point. For a comic shop, it's hard to make a profit off of trading cards. Most don't do enough volume to order directly from a distributor and end up ordering from Diamond/Previews, where you get like 20% off retail price when you buy a box. I know we always took a loss whenever we tried to stock a box or two of comic-related trading cards. Same with sports cards. The only thing we did enough volume to get a good price was Magic/Pokemon.

When I did sketch cards for the Clerks set I brought them to the Quick Stop and laid them on the counter, so my sketch cards were actually there. But we went to the Secret Stash, too, and Walt was there. I showed him my cards and he didn't seem to care.

Any word when these are showing up on Epack? Looks like the are half price on DA and I've been seeing sealed boxes sell for around $53 on Ebay. UD will have a hard time selling these for retail or above. I'm predicting these at a Black Friday special this year at $50/box at DA.

I understand the appeal of a packed out auto but what kills this is I can go buy the big hits for less than a box:

Those aren't the big hits in this set. Vanderbeek seems to be the big hit. That and the multi-signed cards.

One Auto or Sketch card and one Blue Print Relic per box, on average

One Auto/Sketch per box guaranteed seems pretty big, even if you don't collect this set.

Yah, this set was packed out years ago before Upper Deck started making box hits into case hits. This set is full of $5 autos though.

Tried a handful of packs and got nothing. I'm probably done with this unless it goes on sale

Loved the Clerks set.... sold it off a few years back except for a few triple autos.

Tempting... but just dropped like $500 on comics ($100 in reading books, $400 in graded collecting books) and $250 in Eagles Super Bowl Champions gear in the last 3 days.

Should I just make it $1,000 and buy two boxes of the reboot? I did win $500 on the game....

Yes and my sketch sense tells me this is part of a dual panel sketch so now you have to find the other half.

I wouldn't on the Reboot unless you loved that movie. The first Clerks set was glorious. Looking at the odds, you're not in range to get an auto either w/just two boxes. I'd buy singles personally. That's my plan.

Those are cool.

It always amazes me that an autograph on a 2.5x3.5" piece of cardboard goes for 2-3x more than other mediums.

Take Krysten Ritter.

Krysten Ritter signed card from Defenders (sticker) - $50-$80 (The one pictured - $62.55.

Krysten Ritter signed 8x10 JSA certified (hard signed) - $20.50 (The one pictured).

Krysten Ritter signed book (hard signed) - $20 (The one pictured - $4.99 plus $6.13 delivery).

I get that the book is near impossible to display, but most people don't display the cards either. I have a collection of Star Wars 8x10s that I display in my man cave along with all my Black Series toys, FX lightsabers, a huge curio with Star Wars Lego scenes I created of Tatooine, Hoth, Endor and Jakku from sets I've accumulated and built over the years..... but for the 8x10s I pay the $45 to get the 99% UV protection acrylic "glass" and switch it out with the acrylic / glass from the frame so I don't have to worry about fading.

On something like those masks, I'd be concerned about the auto bleaching (not at that cost obviously, for $40 one could buy a few of each and replace them once they faded)

You know, it's a tough call. At $99 per box- people want more than a box price for Van Der Beek, Biggs, Smith, Adams, and almost all the doubles / triples. Harley Smith goes for $40-50. But it appears they are all stickers, whereas Clerks was hard signed.

You get one auto or sketch per box. The sketches I've seen are about 10% great, 40% decent, and 50% sub-par.

Shame they didn't get Shannon Elizabeth to sign for the set. A Shannon Elizabeth, Jason Mewes, Harley Smith triple would have been awesome.

I did see on eBay that Zerocool put out a Clerks III set - those are hard signed, and a good signer list. Ticked I missed that.

I have a compete Chrome set of the Zerocool Jackass set and inserts, and considering the Chrome SP Character cards were numbered to /150, there could only possibly be 150 complete Chrome Master and insert sets in the world. Have every auto from the set too, but they vary from Gold /10 to Base /100. No 1/1 or -1/-1 or 0/0 autos, and the autos to /3 and /5 I believe were given to cast and crew, so hard to obtain unless you know someone who knows people from the cast and crew of Jackass Forever.

I hear you. For me, Reboot is generally at its highest for most all of the autos though. The Clerks set eventually saw those autographs bottom out (which I was thrilled about so I could put together the set I wanted). I think Reboot will bottom out fast. But Reboot is not an iconic movie at all. It has a few good names in the autograph list, but the biggest names are still Smith and Mewes and they sign tons of stuff. If you do roll the dice, I hope you get great hits. But I just don't think Reboot can even sniff the Clerks release. I may just be too loyal to the original. haha It is hard to top the "37" parallels that set had btw.

You're probably right.

Likely best to let this product sit. People will have singles on COMC cheap in no time, and given enough patience they might put this on sale one day in the future to clear it out.

I had put my Clerks sets together without any sale, and didn't frequent this forum or ePack much back then ... did they have big sales on Clerks when it started running low? Is that common or is that the exception like it is for Marvel now b/c of them losing the license?
