I'm learning to embrace base cards as hits. LOL

There was a time when many of us used to enjoy pulling our favorite player or the hottest rookie.

Open less, enjoy more.

I presold some complete sets but everything else I sell by player or team. It's definitely more time consuming but I do better with it.

Collation really isn't bad this year. I would have had 5 sets per case had I gone that route.
One reason I skipped this year is not feeling confident how many sets I would be able to presell. Collation is bad/unpredictable making it hard to get value from pre-selling.

One key aspect of profiting is how soon you can get it. I only dabbled in opening a case cause I got it 2 days early. It's a lot of work to take pictures, list, and ship that most don't feel it's worth the time. I see it like this, if you can make %75 back and keep some stuff you like, it's worth it. People should be complaining about paying $1000 for 5 cards and getting $100 back. You won't lose much on flagship if you put in work. That work might be made easier if you pull a monster which is rare. Even with a crap case, you'll still at least get %50 back of what you paid. That's better then %10 back on other products.

I ripped a case of hobby + 1 additional hobby box (13 boxes total) and was only able to make 2 base sets out of it. I had 2 of a ton of cards and as many as 16 of some others. I know I probably got really unlucky but damn that hurts when you are relying on the sets to make some $ back.

I was able to make 5 sets from a Jumbo case. Hobby about the same as you. Pretty sad.

It seems like the 1990 autos of the premium names have a decent market, pulled a Holliday 1990 auto so am following an auction for one on eBay and it’s already at 270 with 2 days to go. Surprised to see that given it’s not a RC.

That is pretty shocking. He wasn't very good last year, I would have thought the market for him would be ice cold until he shows something on the field at this point.

Good luck!

Completely unsolicited information not in relation to any predictions previously made by other members:
Buffalo buy prices: Jumbo $160, Hobby $75
Pittsburgh buy prices: Jumbo $175

Nothing to do with dealernet, these are buy prices to the public. You could sell to them right now.

I think a lot of people are dismissing last season as a fluke and his #1 draft pick pedigree is still carrying value and believe he will break out this year. But if he struggles coming out of the gate this season, look for prices to crater.

Very nice. Are the black dots around the main image embossed?

now we have to deal with an ebay seller with 3 feedback selling master sets for $299.99 and silver pack sets for $125.99

time to pass on 2025 topps series 1 hobby and jumbo's and just buy hanger cases.
I've actually been getting better and more lower numbered cards from them than the jumbos

I have been seeing that it is a strictly hobby case issue. Jumbos seem fine with the collation. Buddy was same as you ripped 2 jumbo cases almost 10 complete sets.
