Even though the franchise may be at a low point (TV show was a dud, games since Reach not up to par imo under 343)…Halo does have its hardcore fanbase/collectors.

It’s also one of those things…people in their 30s or early 40s having grown up with playing halo…almost a nostalgia thing at this point.

I just picked up halo and started again cause of this set. One of those games that had the best multiplayer but also the incredible campaigns/storylines too.

Regarding the set, I preordered a few cases last February. My main complaint with this set is they didn’t include a 1/1 variant of any of the autos or base set (excluding plates). Would’ve been nice chase/bonus to have a masterpiece card. I think masterchief would go for quite a bit!

A breaker on Fanatics Live has a few boxes up for $160, tempted to buy one. How hard are autos to hit? I hate how Upper Deck is such a crap shoot with what you get in every box.

I'm 4 cases in every case has had 6 autos.

Honestly this is one of the favorite products I have ever opened.

Not sure if they'll go that low, but man, some of these prices really seem like a lot for some random voice actors that voiced some random side characters.

wow! Sounds like an auto every other box? how many sketches per case?

I wonder how much of this was allocated for e-pack considering how fast physical boxes are going.

Sketches are very hard to hit it seems, only 1

Allocations seemed to be very limited. Anecdotally, my LCS only got 3 boxes. Ally at CardsHQ reported she only got 4 boxes to open.

Does there seem to be any type of case hit? I assumed sketch was one but doesn’t seem like it from this. Wanted to get a case but may pass if there isn’t a some type of sketch/dual/etc. in them.

Sketches seem to be less than 1 per case based on how few have hit ebay so far. My first box had a /699, an auto and a cortana chip redemption. Second only had 2 /699 cards, those came from a BO competitor. I'll get into my BO boxes tonight and my LCS boxes in the next day or two. I've still got a few more coming in as well as a blaster case, but i've got no clue what to expect i'll get since everything isn't coming out of a full case. Cards do look nice though.

ePack has something called Halo: The Series, Season 1. It's an oddball set only available in packs of 5 cards for $14.99.

The posts from the last few days are talking about a set called Halo Legacy Collection. It is not yet on ePack, hobby store exclusive or direct from Upper Deck.

It's a 180 card set with cards featuring characters and weapons spanning all of the Halo games, numerous different parallel types, and autographs of voice actors as well as sketches (though they are reportedly hard to hit).

Google shows a post on Reddit with a picture of the redemption card but the poster there is asking the same question Dyna is. I’m guessing it is some type of relic card with a computer chip on a shadowbox or something. It could potentially be cool looking.

All very true. This generally happens on BO I notice, people latch onto a themed thread for a catch-all kinda thing. I think people just see Halo and figure this is the dedicated halo thread.

Based on the checklist, it's something numbered and I'm assuming a faux relic of some kind. I hit one in my first box I opened and the card gives zero info on what version or card it is (there's a numbered base and a /25 Rampancy parallel) unless you redeem it. I haven't decided what i'm going to do with it yet.

I've noticed a few trends on my 6 boxes opened so far. Not sure if that's good (it's likely not) in regards to hits or what kind of hits a box will have.

I've still got another half dozen boxes to open from my LCS and SC so maybe i'll get lucky with some of the other harder to get stuff (i'd love a sketch, but not holding my breath).

PrinceVegeta with autos falling 6 per case, what if anything are the 'hits' coming out of those boxes that don't have autos? My first box had an auto and the Cortana chip, second box has just 2 /699 (these were D&A boxes), boxes 3-5 all had 2 /699's a Hardlight and an auto (two of which were inscriptions) and my 6th box had a /25 character, an auto and 2/699's (these were BO boxes).

For me personally, as a halo fanatic going back to 2001 with halo CE and the days of 8v8 sidewinder CTF on LANs (mostly multiplayer for me)….there is one auto in this I’d really care to get, and that is the announcer. He is a legend. Every single multiplayer game, the thousands or whatever I’ve played, I’m hearing him. Tbh I don’t really know the other voice actors in this. I realize some of those are numbered and duals etc making them more flashy, but my main interest is in the announcer auto.

I did pick up the auto…maybe overpaid, maybe underpaid, this early on who knows. But it’s the one I wanted.

Sounds interesting…and mysterious. Curious to see what this actually is, like if it’s a faux relic. Probably tough call what to do with it being unknown.

This is also my chase auto. He has an inscription(s) auto in the product too.
UD posted a picture of his auto with KILLIONAIRE! inscribed. I hope he has others like "double kill" or "killing spree" etc.

The inscription autos only come out of hobby.

Dannnng, inscription would be nice with him. Mine doesn’t have one but oh well. “Exxtermination” would have been a solid one too. This dude is the voice of God in halo.
