Default Tired of eBay charging for views?

Sometimes you gotta just cheat….

I am tired of eBay sponsored algorithm making sellers pay to boost and even if a massive store doesnt sponsor you get buried…its literally 20% with bells & whistles and thats not including the inside bells like subtitle & reserve (only suckers use this regardless)….

So….I broke the code and I dont care what people think if its shady or not…

The listing that I have altered beta have increased from -200 to +4 on search results…
If you are ready to stop being nice to eBay and actually sell your stuff without sponsored advertisement then do this…

Example: create listing-

Title:
2024 Topps Star Wars Chrome Freck Auto Green Parallel #d/99 card #28
This card will get zero views for at least 24hrs and any sponsored card will be above it including any card similar to one that recently sold even a non-freck card…
(Now go to item specks and in the character add the top 5 search hits) +Darth Vader +Anakin Skywalker +Ahsoka Tano +Shin Hati +Baylen Skoll
Make sure you can fit them it tries to stop at 4 but theres a way around that as well….
List item…wait 5 minutes and delete your eBay search and viewed items—-refresh again….
Now search 2024 Topps Star Wars Chrome (any character you added to your Freck listing)…..you will be at least top-5/10 now under any search name in your item specs AND your freck card will have over 20 views in 24hrs…every Anakin, Darth, Ahsoka, etc….will pop the Freck card in those algorithm….AND you will also see that your Freck card is attached to “you also might like” option INSIDE the other sellers/sponsored listings usually in the #1 spot…

Been doing this too long to let eBay force advertising to boost nonsense…its not good for anyone…and honestly that is not what eBay is about until these new brand of bloodsuckers took over….
I will destroy every code they create…always have, always will….

Hope this helps….anyone here thinking its shady can pretty much F-off tbh and I would consider you hypocrite under all life circumstances Hahaaa!

This is why I keep seeing LeBron James cards every time I try to look up any NBA cards that aren't LeBron James.

Any card that is sponsored will end up popping regardless of item specs…check how many are non-sponsored James cards there are …and look at the specs to see if this is true…I thought the same as well but it was not the case in most non sponsored cards….maybe 1/10…
There is zero use of any specs or title algorithm now that forced fee for placement has been established in the AI. There is one other not so shady option….sponsor every item and jack up the price by 100% and stay at the top forever without fee of promotions since it wont sell…on eBay…but in my title put “save $$ with paypal message for details”….hahAaaaa

You’re creating a future nightmare for yourself by doing this. New listings get a boost in search result rankings from having the “predicted score” being heavily weighed over the “observed score”. Your metrics for the listing will be really bad because it’s showing up for unrelated keywords so your CTR and CR will tank over time and eBay will reduce your impressions based on your far below average observed score. If you do this and don’t get a lot of lucky sales, then over time your eBay account will be full of listings with horrific observed scores which will lower your seller score as well (which I suspect will also lower your predicted scores for future listings). You can learn more from this patent: https://patentimages.storage.googlea.../US9672554.pdf

eBay’s also adding singles to their item catalogue. Start typing “1989 “ into search and you’ll see what I mean. If your item specifics on all of your listings are wrong because you’re trying to get extra free impressions, then your entire store is screwed when they eventually force singles sellers to use the catalogue and you will have to fix/redo EVERYTHING (ask anyone whose sold in the auto parts category for a long time about this…).

If you want to rank higher organically, you need to download your Listings Quality Report and compare your metrics to the metrics of the top 10% of items shown for that category/price range. Make sure you exceed the averages of that top 10% and have business policies that give you ranking boosts too (like free shipping, which is explicitly stated to be a ranking boost in the patent).

Well his boost is more about auctions, all 51 of them. Its not like he has a ginormous store to search either so I really do not think he is getting any real boost. Auctions end sooner than most BINS and are where eveyone is going for the bargins so that is where he gets his boost.

Are you talking about the one that looks like an excel spread sheet?

Yea this happened so only lasted 3 days but I did have a huge spike on the listing day but like mentioned above it just died after that…this is the only one I tried…

So tired of eBay…I have really nothing in my store currently but average only about 200 listings and rarely do auctions…I decided to run these just so I could get them out and put up new ones & some unsold folder…I sell alot of soccer and my international sales are triple my US sales which is normal for soccer but even Star Wars has more intl compared to the last 5 years….mostly Europe for soccer…rarely do I sell to South America, and my Star Wars sales have been China & Philippines…

I guess you either pay the sponsor or find a new home? Does anyone know if Fanatics is going to be launching a BETA Auction soon? I heard a whisper about 6 months ago but havent heard anything since…

That's the one.

When I click on Performance it takes me to the summary. There is no download available. In bold it says "Understanding your business performance". Under that it's Sales, Selling Costs, Trafic, and Seller Level (Region: US).

I thought it used to be under traffic. I've got a section called "Growth Opportunities", but it just says "Manage your listing performance with these custom insights". Then there's no insights.

Here’s a direct link to the report if you have the bug where it isn’t showing on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/sh/performance/...listingSiteId=

These are my traffic stats with ~3200 listings. The big spike is from starting about 250 auctions that day. I’m at about a 22% 90 day STR which is low for me but in my defense I’ve just been shotgunning listings to test my software and different lot configurations. Was over 50% when it was more curated and larger lot sizes. Dynamic promotions from 2-10%. The SEO in my listings generate a pretty good amount of organic external traffic too.
