Talking So weird. Tom Brady has been mentoring Sedeur Sanders for Years.

--- --- ---

Did you know this?

Are you shocked or surprised?

Tom Brady has been mentoring Shedeur for years since he was in Tampa.

Nobody is dropping on draft boards. Their rising!

Shedeur Sanders has the it factor. He's him. He's a stud and a star.

Watch today's presser to get the scoop:

Cam Ward & Shedeur Sanders FULL NFL Combine Press Conferences

Whoever drafts him will begin turning their franchise around from day one just like he did at Jackson State and Colorado. You watch and witness.

Cam is a stud as well.

Brady also mentored Antonio Brown and offered him his house... doesn't mean miracles happen (unless you call Giselle getting hit on good?).
Tom also had had the thing this month for tampering with Stafford before FA; the guy is smart - but also pretty dumb.

...but yeah, Sanders is hot garbage... unlikely as first round pick. Wait and see.
Stuff like this only adds to the pressure and expectations that Shedeur cannot meet.
This is Bronny version 2.0, and most NFL teams want no part of it. Sorry.

Cam Ward is ok at best. Good athlete, fair QB, ok passer, but many ups and downs in NCAA career and some bad turnovers... far from a sure thing. Probably a project QB at pro level a la Justin Fields. He benefits as the best QB in a very weak 2025 draft year for QBs (why he reversed declaring 2024, when he'd be 5th or 6th rounder).

And try to spell a guy's name right in thread title?

I've heard a lot of people talking about their relationship leading up to the draft. I think he's definitely who the Raiders want to be playing QB next year. I read today that Stafford is the only veteran that Brady was interested in and now that he's off the table it's Sanders. Rodgers has been connected to the Giants lately so I'm guessing they trade picks with Raiders so they can draft Sanders.

It blows my mind how many people - including media members - missed the announcement that LA gave Stafford permission to talk to other teams.

There’s no tampering when the guy has permission from his team to talk to others.

He also isn't a free agent. He was given permission to talk to other teams about a trade. I don't think you can be tampering in that situation

How did you not know this? It has been well documented since the start.

There is no trading picks necessary.

Sanders will be on the draft board #6 pick. (Ward might be also)
They'd actually win a bid war with themselves if they draft Shedeur there.
It's pretty likely they could get him 2nd round (#37 overall). No joke.

Again, Sanders has high bust potential. A lot of holes in his game, small school.
Most teams don't view him as an elite prospect (and/or worth the hype).
There is good reason he went back to college last year.
It will be very ugly if any NFL team starts him right away.

Cam Ward had a good season last year with his third college team.

Ward wasn't exactly recruited to OU and Alabama with offers to Mich and OSU and other big schools like Rattler and others were. Ward went to a tiny private school that was his only offer.

Ward is a [very] good athlete, but he is not some kind of Caleb or TLaw or Luck or Stafford Cam Newton or Peyton #1 pick sure-thing quarterback prospect here.
Cam Ward's not even Vick or Vince Young in terms of prospect in most teams' eyes. He's not close.
Ward would've been drafted below Rattler in 2024 had he stayed in the draft. Absolutely. No question there.

I agree that, after the very good transfer year to UMiami, this 2025 year, in a QB-barren draft class, Ward probably will be taken #6 or higher by pick or trade, yes. That isn't any glowing testament to Cam Ward, though... it merely shows you how desperate the current NFL still is for decent QBs - even after the 2024 draft class influx.

Sanders will likely go lower than that; the cost of high pick QB busts is just too high in terms of team frustration, dollars, and draft capital. There are a lot of good players in this 2025 draft, but very few of them are exciting ones for FB cards. Outside Jeanty, there are really no great FFB/cards prospects... we shall see.

The top 3 teams in the draft need a QB. Every mock draft I've seen has both guys going in the top 3. Obviously anything can happen and there could be some trades but they are clearly the only two QB worth a first round pick this year.

Last year all the BO draft experts were saying JJ would be going in the 5th or 6th round and he went #10 overall. Teams that need QB are going to take a QB. And since every team ahead of the Raiders knows that he is Brady's #1 choice they are at least going to say they are drafting him so they can pick up a few picks from the Raiders to swap spots

Dart is the sleeper in this draft.

I am calling right here he will be the best QB in this class.

He's not really a sleeper anymore, I have been saying for the last couple months he was moving up the boards. Shough was a sleeper too, now his name is out there. The difference between the two, Shough is older, and played 6 seasons. Older, more experienced QBs (after seeing success of Nix and Daniels)coming out of the draft is no longer a strike against the player, as it is seen as a plus- the plus being that they have more experience, and take less time to be ready to play. I like both Dart and Shough. Will be interesting to see how high they rise.

I heard there was a secret ceremony where Tom Brady blessed Arch Manning.

Sanders ego will dilute his ability. I don't care who mentors him. He will be his own worst enemy.

The most valuable thing in the NFL these days is a rookie QB that can start from day one. Having a QB on a rookie contract is the best way to build a winning team. Teams don't care if the QB is 25 years old anymore because they need someone to step in and be ready to play. Once they get to the second contract you need to start blow up the team like the 49ers are doing now. If you take a young project QB you may end up like the Colts who have now wasted two years of the rookie contract timeline

Spot on. This is a copycat league and when teams see the Commanders and Broncos with very college experienced playoff making rookie QBs they will try to do that too

Seems likely... or they would probably take Cam Ward if he's there #6 (definitely not impossible).
Sanders could fall out of the first round pretty easily, depending what happens in FA.
The picture will clear up a lot over the rest of this month.

Pete Carroll obviously knows how to get the most out of Geno.
I also wouldn't rule out the Raiders taking a QB in mid rounds of the draft (Dart, Milroe, Ewers, etc) or signing a young-ish FA quarterback like Mac Jones, Fields, Zappe, etc.

...The Geno trade definitely rules out FA vets like Cousins, ARodg, Russ, Carr? etc for the Raiders, though.

No way, this trade guarantees that they draft Will Howard. Sanders is more of a day 1 starter than a developmental QB. Chip wants Howard.
