Default Formula 1 2025 Season

Season ramping up.

Don't believe Max will take the title this season. LeClerc an outside shot. Probably will be Norris.

Constructors title is a tossup between McLaren and Ferrari.

2024 proved Lando hasn't got what it takes, it was his 6th season in F1 and that joke was all he could muster in pretty much the best car over the season.

HP: We will pay $50MM for sponsorship but we want 11 white prominent logos on the car that will stick out like a sore thumb.

Ferrari : We can't do that. The car will look ugly.

HP: How about $100MM?

Ferrari : Done.

It proved he didn't handle a close race well. If the car is beyond everyone else it won't be a close race and he will be fine. I've already heard talk that whoever isn't competitive after the first 5 or so races will just pour all their investment into the 26 car with the new regs. This season might be less competitive than last year as teams have less incentive to invest a lot in this year's car.

Super excited for the season to start.

Fred just seems like a genuinely good guy.

Next season of Drive to Survive on Netflix starts this week.

I wonder if Ferrari pulling out of testing early due to hydraulic issues is any indicator of anything. Sounds bad.

Definitely not ideal. But still...it's just testing. I'd say next year seems more likely to be Ferrari's year, but we'll see what happens this season.

Scathing evaluation of SF-25.

I feel like the WCC is already over. Just give it to McCLaren. Pouring money into a wager.

Lots of people are expecting a competitive season because of last year, but its more likely one team runs away with it this year since its the last year of the regs and there's not a lot of incentive to spend a ton of money on this year's car if you're not competitive for race wins.

I think we could be in for a season like 2019 when Mercedes was like 1-2 pretty much every race. Maybe they'll create some new penalties to make it close, but probably not since it will be a British driver winning.

My sportsbook to the Constructor's Championship wagering off the board. It's over.

Yeah I'm afraid its going to be a really boring season. I get many didn't like watching Max win every week, but I think we go back to the days when its the same team 1-2 by like 20 sec.

I know this sounds like crazy talk but thinking about it not really.

I like Lando but he might not be with McClaren after this season. His contract is up. This is his 7th season and he has the fastest car. He needs to win the WDC.

This season is over.

Melbourne is considered a medium to high downforce track. McClaren's strength are low downforce tracks. McClaren's aren't even supposed to be great in the rain which we saw with Oscar. Lando still won.

Is there another example where one driver can drive a car that nobody else seems to be able to? Obviously not fair to Lawson after just one race in bad conditions, but Max seems to just be on a completely different skill level even if he doesn't get wdc this year. All those years Lewis was winning, you had Nico and Botas also performing well in the car. I'm sure it has happened, but I can't recall a time where only one guy seems to be able to drive a car.

Oof, brutal start for Ferrari, but, 22 races to go

Very entertaining race with the weather! Antonelli and Albon were impressive

I think its after race 9 when the stricter regs around flexi wings take effect.

Now we know why Merc offered Antonelli a seat at 17. He can drive.

really enjoyed the race, very entertaining. Curious to see how Lawsons performance unfolds this year or if this year plays out like previous RB/Merc battles where Max was fighting two Mercs at the front with his teammate barely scraping top ten. Only difference is this time it will be two McLarens.

Couldn't help but chuckle at Hamilton's annoyance with this race engineers constant updates. "Leave me to it man"

Yeah, some real puzzling decision making from the pit wall there.

Kimi has so much natural talent. A lot of hype, but he seems pretty calm and composed overall.
