Yep same timeline. I have not, however, had any luck in finding replacements for Ray or Corner. Which I'm a little surprised about as there are some top tier players on both teams. Might just be the nature of being a free league. But if you guys know of anyone that might be interested, please let them know!

It's a risk, but Royce's upside is incredible. And honestly, I can stomach a risk with how my team is set up

Still have a handful more keeper-worthy players than I'm able to hang onto, looking for one or two more consolidation type trades where I trade away more MLBers than I receive. Maybe reach out to some of the past owners and see if they want back in? Trying to remember who we lost throughout the years...

Or drop to 10 teams, give everyone an extra roster spot or 2 and make those players draftable?

If we don’t find 2 other people we could just consolidate those teams and make all those players draftable. Would be kind of sad to have to shrink down the league after all these years though.

Contracting is a definite absolute last resort and I'd like to avoid that at all costs. Easy to do, but would be extremely difficult to ever expand again. We'll keep hunting for replacements a little longer, and worst case, I bet we could still get Ray to play again too and keep looking for new owners for both him and Corner even if it goes into the season

Just to verify:

I am dropping people to get to 25 on my active roster which also includes IL players.

Regarding Minors roster:

No transactions currently and everybody "available" is in the draft when it happens.

First page of league says keep 5? Is it now 10 or am I dropping 5 from my list and the total minor league roster is 10 so will draft 5 replacements?

Correct on the MLB roster, you can keep up to 25

Prospect rosters, you can keep all 10. We started out with rosters of 5 and expended over the years. So you can keep all of them, but if there's anyone you want to drop, you can do that now (by posting in the thread) and you'll get a pick in a prospect draft instead

Correct that all players are eligible for the prospect draft, provided they meet playing time eligibility (no more than 65 MLB AB or 25 MLB IP). Don't need to be signed with a team or anything

MLB draft is held first, and then a small prospect draft afterwards for only teams with open roster slots on their prospect roster. Prospects can be taken in the MLB draft as long as they're in ESPN's player pool
