Rodgers to the Steelers it looks like.
At this point in his career, it's probably his best case scenario if they get back to smash mouth run the ball football and he only has to throw 20 times a game |

Because he seems like the only NFL ready QB in the draft. So if you are trying to win and make the playoffs next year like the Steelers and Giants are then he seems like a better option then any of the free agent QBs. He might not be any better then Rodgers, Wilson, Fields, Darnold or Cousins next year but he at least has upside that he could be and you know what you are getting with the free agents which is an 8 win team at best.

Which will make Metcalf very happy.

Sure but from scouting reports he is also more volatile and bigger a chance then Sanders to be a complete bust. I think he makes sense for the Titans or another team that is rebuilding. I think a team that thinks they can make the playoffs this year would prefer Sanders. But we'll see. Picking QBs is a 50/50 proposition based on history of the draft

In the days leading up to the draft last year people had JJ going in the 3 round at best and he went #10. Teams that need QBs do crazy things once the draft comes.

All "slipping in the draft" means is that a bunch of mediots who do worthless mock drafts have him going lower today than the same mediots doing the same worthless mock drafts 1 month ago. However, since there is nothing in the world more useless than a mock draft, none of it means anything. If Sanders goes 5 or 10 or 50, that means that's all he ever was good enough to be as far as the people who actually make the decisions are concerned, despite what the mediots may have said about him at one time. |

I'm almost certain that the Browns will be picking a QB.
Why? They still have to take on $135MM in Deshaun Watson cap hits AFTER 2025. The only way they can afford a QB is on a rookie contract. It'd be really risky to wait til round 2 and hope your guys drops, so I expect them to take whoever is left over at 2, or trade to 1.

Wow, that's a bit more than I expected him to get. I thought 35 mill max, 36 I guess is close. If he finished the season stronger, it may be $40 mill.
Brock Purdy's agent is keeping a close eye on all of these QB signings and licking his chops |

Darnold should send half of that money to Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison for helping him get paid.

So let's evaluate the current QB needs to this point for teams still seeking a #1
Titans currently with #1 pick in draft Browns currently with #2 pick Giants currently with #3 pick Steelers currently with #21- I think they are taking Tyler Shough in that spot (or Dart if he is avail) Last edited by Floridacardguy; 03-10-2025 at 01:53 PM. |

Titans could trade that #1 pick to the Browns, or Giants, grab a haul of picks, and then just a pick or two later still get a top 3 QB- Ward/Sanders/Dart- or Travis Hunter. They would look like geniuses.
