I don't believe I've ever bought one back but I do think it's awesome finding them listed and seeing where they ended up. Got a ton of them that are homed in Australia, Europe, Japan, China, etc. Art for the world!

I don't know where to actually post it, but I haven't been excited to see a new franchise with the artistic possibilities for sketch cards as Spongebob, as posted by an artist and cmixer put in his thread, for a LONG time. Cryptozoic had great sketch sets locked down for years, with the 1/box and creativity the artists had with the licenses they had. Really hoping that set does well and we end up getting many more like it in the coming years, again.

Cgc must be working fast now because I'm pretty sure my estimated return time was in April on this one but I got it today

Not always a fan of the playing card variation of cards but I like the Tenyo Disney stuff. I have some beautiful puzzles made by them.

Along with Marvel, I was a HUGE fan of the X-Files and the paranormal / supernatural. Picked this up yesterday and the more I look at it the creepier it is lol. The Glebes really did a great job capturing the creepy / scary factor with this sketch.

There's a hotel card show near me that takes place every 2 weeks, and this one vendor is always setup there with a sweet nonsports/entertainment collection.

I purchased a GOT Momoa auto from him recently:

Also picked up a Tim Shinn Wolverine sketch off of Ebay:

Picked up this Ghost Rider #1 with COMC credit. And looks like price was pretty close to eBay comps for this grade so I think I did kind of well. It’s fun to sell a bunch of random stuff on COMC and then convert it to one nicer item. I find it to be more efficient than ePack trading.

Picked up this love letter to the 80’s for $8…. Which is not only cheaper than the slab but almost $20 cheaper than the raw version up on COMC.

That card just screams 80s. Fun pickup

That’s not a bad way to get cards sometimes, since people overfocus on grades and EX or even NM 7 cards can go for deep discounts. The card at a glance looks fine to me and I’m generally interested in the card vs the grade.

I thought this red plate looked cool so I picked it up. Really like the flame border which comes out more detailed than the regular version of the card.

Haven’t really bought too many Marvel sketches lately but this Hepzibah (perhaps a character for the obscure character thread?) by TwoVoo caught my eye. I’m going to slab it.

I also picked up this comic slab off of COMC tonight. Probably the last big dollar comic slab (currently listed at least) that was on my watchlist.

Picked up this fun one… it’s a finger puppet card where you can push the Alien chestburster through the card with your finger. Perhaps the cleverest card gimmick of all time?

So if a card like that is slabbed…I guess you can’t “use” it anymore

I'm really enjoying the Reacher series on Prime, so when I found out this card existed, I just had to pick one up.

Also, this She-Hulk that's been on my wish list for a while. Been waiting for a good price and finally just went for it.

Here are a few pickups I got at the Spring 2025 Great Ohio Toy Show, held at the same venue as the Xenia card show. Toy shows are really hit or miss, but you have to cast a wide net if you want to find nonsports in the wild.

Love the Homer card… they really need to do a modern Simpsons set. Might be a license UD should look into.

FUMS was a cool set that got lost in the shuffle of all the Marvel sets Upper Deck put out in 2024. Picked up this cool Man-Thing plate tonight..,,

Default Show off your March 2025 Pickups

That’s an awesome plate finfang- capturing the monster essence! Underrated when plates clearly show everything so well (they don’t always….)

This is more an old school pickup. A factory sealed binder of 95 Ultra X-Men

These binders come with the standard 3 ultra prints inside from 95 X-Men (advertised on front). But what makes this one kinda special is what’s on the back-

That is a rare 94 FlairPrint, which only came from this and is unusual to find on the back of 95 Ultra X-Men binders (most don’t have one). There are 5 prints in this exclusive set- Spider-Man, Gambit, Cap, Thor, and Surfer.
