Is JJ already one of the best coaches of all time? What he's done in his first year with the spotlight, dealing with LeBron and now dealing with Luka is impressive. He's also a good Xs and Os coach.

I get it. They're great. But acting like there's some tremendous gap between them and the field is wild.

East is definitely top heavy in regards to actual contenders and looking weaker down the stretch. Meanwhile all the scenery changes out West making things very interesting. The playoffs out West are shaping up to be an absolute bloodbath.

I’m leaning towards OKC to go the distance, but I think the playoffs are going to be wild.

To be honest, saying either OKC or Cleveland's a lock to make the finals is getting way ahead of ourselves. A proven Boston's still very much in the hunt, and a healthy LAL could make things interesting.

That's one thing about teams that rely so much on the 3...the variance can be through the roof. So your defense really has to be robust to weather the storms.

I like how OKC doesn't even need SGA active to beat Philly, considering Grimes is their best player now lol.

Grimesanity hit different. 2x the player PG13 is at 1/5th the cost.

No way Philly was going to win that though. OKC owns their pick, but it's top 6 protected. Expect them to continue mailing it in for the remainder of the year.

I forgot about that pick. There going to need it because there's no way they can trade Embum with that contract. Plus who would even want Paul George?

Oh I definitely agree. Cavs and Celtics is a coin flip in a series which will largely be dependent on which version of Donovan Mitchell shows up.

I do think the Thunder are a notch up from the rest of the West, but certainly nothing is guaranteed. It’s tough to gauge just where everyone stacks up after the seismic power shifts following the big trades.

What’s the latest on Jalen Williams’ timetable for return by the way? It’s crazy how much damage OKC can do when they’re not even at full strength.

Celtics sold for $6.1 billion. Largest sale for a sports franchise in North America

Besides the Lakers being a wildcard the west sucks. Who's going to beat OKC? They are as close to a lock as you can get.

Boston/Cleveland is a coin flip

Yes, until the next sale. $360 million to $6.1 billion in 23 years is a nice come up. It's good go to be rich.

It's kinda funny watching how people over-react to fluky regular season results.

Players are dinged up, travel schedules for many teams are borderline ridiculous, and the emphasis on 3-point shooting means that any team can get hot for a night and any time can go ice cold for a night.

Teams like OKC, Cleveland, and Boston, who are already locked into their playoff seeds, are largely operating on cruise control right now. Everyone else is just trying to make it to the end of the season.

The playoffs are/will be a whole different beast.

Its kind of funny anyone cares about the reg at all right now. No reason to really watch until May.

No reason unless you like watching your team or any other team play basketball

When you are a relatively inexperienced team reliant on a single super-star, with a comparatively untested coach, who was upset in the second round the previous year, you are anything but a lock.

OKC should be favored, but if it's OKC vs. the field, I'm taking the field....there are too many other strong teams in the West.

JJ Redick has the Lakers playing really well, the Nuggets are still the Nuggets, and the Warriors have Steph, playoff Jimmy, and Dray.

They would all likely be underdogs against the Thunder, but they'd all still have a 30-40% chance of winning a 7-game series against OKC.

They only play "basketball" in the playoffs.

I wouldn't go that far....there are a handful of teams playing for seeding position in the West for whom every win/loss matters.

On one hand, it's disappointed to see the Cavs lose their 3rd straight as they rotating resting their all stars.

On the other hand, it's refreshing to remember that they still have a healthy 6 game lead over the Celtics with just 13 to play.

That being said... Evan Mobley having 31 pts on 13-18 shooting, then not getting a shot attempt the last 3:50 of the game is.... something. They'll need to clean that up before the playoffs or the streak of not making it past round 2 will continue.

The Lakers, yea Luka and LeBron can beat anyone.

Denver isn't good. Warriors have no depth.

Warriors match up well I think but still I'm taking OKC in 6
