I'm buying. Bit of a dry season if you're on the hunt for gradable stuff since PSA decided to be super tough on 2024 Prizm. Counting the days til Optic.

A few recent PC pickups:

2022 Prestige Premium Gold /99 PSA 10 - Graded myself. These are Gold and have the gorgeous "future fame" effect-- a standout paralell for sure. 2024 equivalent PSA 10 sold for $250 recently.

2023 Prizm Flashback Mojo /25 - PSA 10 Graded myself. Can't go wrong with the 2012 Prizm design.

2023 Score Red Zone /20 PSA 10 - Got at a great price a few weeks after the SB. I've now got 3 years of these in PSA 10 including 2018 so might need to finish the run. Love the brand heritage of Score with its historic key RCs and typically good photos. Can't argue with color match and /20.

Also for my Chiefs fans, my 1998 unnumbered Tony Gonzalez PMG came back a BGS 9, tying 2 PSA 9s for highest grade.

I guess if you think being "exposed" is having the best record in the NFL, yep, he was exposed.

This sales price on a PSA 9 Optic auto is utterly shocking to me post super bowl loss. I was expecting 10k and that would be a hefty price. I get that it's sp but still..

I want those to fall too so I can grab one (still mad I passed on a bad quality Red for $4,000 a few years ago) but doesn't look like it's gonna happen.

Last sale on this card was in Aug 2023, a BGS 9/10 Auto that did $5,200.

For the doomers who don't want to click the link, this PSA 9 sale with a streaky autograph just did $17,200.

All markets on a player are not the same.

I've definitely been bullish on any on card rookie auto. Another 9.5 /150 just did over 7.

These are very strong prices in the offseason and do not look like one-offs.

Allen has to win his first ring for us to begin to take him seriously. Gone are the days of stats and SB appearances that Marino and Kelly gave us. We want winners. And although I'm not a Mahomes' fan, most of us know he's a top five quarterback all time already. His prices will be just fine, barring a serious crime allegation. But what the people on Blowout really want to know is: who's the next great quarterback that can win multiple rings? 90% of us are already shutout and priced out on significant, or even somewhat significant, Mahomes cards. But much respect to Mahomes, though.

I hear you. I'm glad I picked up the red auto /50 a few years ago at the national. It wasn't cheap, but felt like they weren't going to be coming down anytime soon on price. Figured I would have picked up a few more on-card autos by now, but have only pulled the trigger on one over the last year (Limited /149). Keep looking for a dip or opportunistic buy, but they are just so few and far between (and I simply don't have time to constantly scour the web)

The only thing similar with aikman and mahomes is 3 SBs..again, mahomes is more than just SBs..making it to 5 SBs, 7 straight AFC appearances, fastest to X TDs, 30k yards etc…mahomes is also a highlight reel (YouTube)..chiefs are the highest rating team for viewership (sorry, even before the swifts)…big collectors base (check for yourself at card shows)..NFL now is like the 90s basketball..Mahomes is the face of the league whether you like it or not ..every time someone beats him, it’s a feather in their cap..

Good heavens absolute beauty. I'm on the hunt for any color 50 or less before the season starts again.

Hopefully Ohtani and Lebron take most of the goat attention in the card market the next few months.

The second one is his Phoenix 1/1. It's straight fire!

No more borrowing a ton in college and then paying that off with interest once pro. They make NIL as well as team/individual money in NCAA. They make even more a pros.

You will see many more guys who are half smart make good money in college, invest that, play a few years in pros, invest that, and retire in their 20s (esp if they get an injury or concussion scare or two).

If anything, most all time records (Rice yards, Bruce Smith sacks, etc) are safer than ever - even with 17 and soon 18 games/yr. There is just little incentive for most of the young guys now to play to a late age when they're injured and trying to push themselves through late career. Nope.

There's inflation of stats and offensive numbers on NFL. QB used to have more int than td and perfectly fine with it

I have no idea why we compare Qb stats across eras. Teams used to only score 3 FGs and won, incomplete pass was a turnover at one point
