Default USPS Not Scanning Packages

Ridiculous…would initiate the missing forms etc.

This is very anecdotal but in terms of my sending via USPS, I feel like priority mail is usually the tier that encounters issues the most. My ground adv shipments seem smoother and don’t seem to run into these delay/lost things as much.

I agree, priority mail seems like a scam.

I am guessing the buyer is lighting you up as well. When I used to sell on eBay, I would drop the items off in person at the post office and ask for a drop-off receipt. It was a pain to do this, but helped to give myself and the buyer piece of mind.

Last scan was arrived at distribution center. Hopefully it pops up this week.

I have a package coming from a Blowout seller that arrived in Austin on the 5th and has been "In Transit To Next Facility" since then.....I think it's taking a free vacation in Texas.

Live in Kent, WA ~ 15mi from Seattle. Item arrived at Seattle Distr on Tues 3/4 but was too “late” in day to hit my mailbox on Friday. Sat a different delivery truck used and so “should” arrive on Monday 3/10. A week to go 15 miles in 2025, fabulous. And Trump’s DOGE gonna be cutting what? Yeah MAGA indeed, .

First Prospecting purchase by the way. Colt Emerson, Go Ms, Tridents Up!

Leave it to some guy to make this about politics. FYI...this thread started in May 2024 but go ahead show your TDS.

Hopefully Amazon takes over USPS. They are already in our neighborhoods on a daily basis.

Great, so I could have my mail placed right in front of the door, too? Sounds awesome.

/sarcasm

But seriously, I feel like we are being trolled by our Amazon drivers sometimes .

EVERYTHING is about politics....you can stick your head in the ground and try to pretend that it's not, but you would be deluding yourself.

In this case we're talking about increasingly poor service from a government agency whose leader (DeJoy) has been actively trying to sabotage it as part of his party's plan to eventually try and privatize it.

How is anything having to do with the USPS not about politics?

USPS service is getting worse because of political decisions.....

I guess the point about this thread discussing USPS issues was created in May of 2024 went over your head as well. It's hilarious how so many are obsessed over one man. Carry on.

The USPS is the most reliable shipper in the US. The private carriers are a joke. I will never ship my cards with any of them.

Dang dude, sorry to have offended you. Let me know how you feel “politically” tomorrow when your stock value (real assets) go down another 2%+ And yes, I am looking at that splendid guy DJT.
I promise this to be my last mention of anything outside the collectible universe. My earlier thought was a minor whine at USPS, going forward I will keep all internal and tread lightly.

Now don’t let me catch you in another thread with an exhaustive diatribe on PEDs

Offended? Lol....good try but I don't get offended. I just know your type when I see it and it's easy to call out. Don't really care if you keep making your obsession (or should I say syndrome) known either.

Mailed a priority small USPS box with insurance out of my mailbox. No initial scan or any updates on it. It's been 5 days and starting to get worried. Worst part is its a 1/1 Rose Gold 1st Bowman. Gonna be out a nice chunk of change. Ugh!!!

Could be worth going into PO or talking to carrier and seeing they can find any info on it. It’s not unheard of to get no acceptance scan than all the sudden in transit a week later…but it’s a little unusual.

If it was insured, wouldn’t be out a nice chunk of change though? Unless you mean just the base $100 included insurance with priority.

Here is yet another issue going on with priority…I’m almost making it a point to send ground adv when I can. It seems so much smoother. For any expensive package, into the multiple hundreds or more, I like to actually hand it off to a clerk at the PO where it’s sure to get an acceptance scan, and not just drop it off or leave it in the mailbox for pickup.

Not sure how he would file a claim for any amount if there is no acceptance scan on a Priority Mail or GA package.....an ESE envelope might be covered, but with no proof of shipping, probably not a Priority Mail or GA.

Ah that’s true, no acceptance scan for insurance, didn’t even think of that. Another reason to always hand it off to a clerk for acceptance.

Hmm…I would be inquiring via PO and carrier, asking for supervisor and questioning where this package is. It is still a bit early to lose hope though….USPS tracking issues are very wonky lately to say the least.

Not card related but had an ebay purchase that appeared to be lost in transit as it had not had a location scan in 10 days that the seller put a package service request in for that may have gotten it moving a day or two after he put in the request.

Currently have another package seemingly lost in the ether with USPS that the seller is about to put in the same request for, they are presenting themselves as ripe to be taken over/privatized. Have NEVER had as many issues with them as i have the last 6 months or so and UPS has really stepped up their game.....

Was hoping for a reverse jinx...it was scanned just now and is out for delivery to authenticator. I had $800 insurance on it BTW. What was so disconcerting was a mail truck in Memphis lost od a bunch of pkgs in a wreck. Figured mine was in it. But, I'm good after checking tracking 1000 times in 6 days. Thanks again all!

That’s great. This always seems to happen to me- I post about some USPS issue down in the ebay subforum, and to a T, soon after I post about it the issue corrects itself. So when I want to see something fixed I just need to post about it

Definitely not the first time recently I’ve seen or heard about no acceptance scan and nothing, then randomly out for delivery. USPS being USPS I guess.

Priority Mail package has been officially declared as lost as USPS paid me out for insurance and postage.

I also have another medium flat rate box going to PSA that seems to be slow. You would think Vegas to California would not take too long

I purchased a card that triggered eBay authentication on the 11th of this month. Label created and card shipped out the 12th. Bumped around New Jersey a few days, finally leaving the state on the 14th and showed up in Arizona on the 15th in the evening, where it went from "in transit - arriving on time" on a midnight scan on the 16th, to "in transit to next facility" on the 17th at midnight, to "in transit to next facility - arriving late" via two more midnight scans on the 18th and and 19th and since then nothing.

The 4 days of non-movement midnight scans are not a good sign, and the fact it's gone totally MIA now for a week since then is REALLY not a good sign.

Outside of some 'this package got eaten by customs' issues that I had during the height of the pandemic (that all showed up, typically 30-45 days after hitting customs), this is the worst experience I've had in years.

Tracking updated saying it’s being processed at the USPS facility in Tustin, CA. That is the town over from Newport Beach
