I think i just ended up with a grader that wasnt gonna gem mint anything unless it was "pristine 10"that day and if anything was lower than a 9 it was downhill from there which luckily ononly a couple of great condition older cards. lol. its whatever now that ive had a few days im sure people have had far worse.

I understand. I have a couple of 80's topps cards out right now. I am waiting to see what they get. I suspect the graders don't know how to grade old stock surface on cards and are lowering grades because of that. They gave my Lawrence Taylor RC a PSA6, and I have seen others in same condition get 9 or 10.

Local guys are claiming a whole package got stolen from either FEDEX or gamestop. They posted it in a private local facebook group. The Gamestop manager is claiming the package arrived and it was taped up/resealed when he opened it and it was empty. A few of the guys have an APB out on some of the missing slabs. It is all TCG/CCG that was posted so far. No way to know if it was fedex or Gamestop and, so far, insurance isn't being paid out by either party as a result. It was a number of persons orders in the package. This is the exact reason I would never, ever use Gamestop to submit. I will post if it is resolved in any way. FYI this is in North East Ohio more toward the Cleveland area.

The 3 closest ones to my house closed about 3-4 months ago. I agree that none of it makes any sense. Is Nat still on the board of directors? It seems he would want more locations for this new grading model as well as changing over to collectibles and whatever else they are trying to do.

Why do you think that a card shop couldnt have the same thing happen? I trust the guy at my local gamestop a lot more than i trust some of the shady characters at some of the card shops i have visited, plus gamestop has a lot better system of how they handle the cards than some shops i have seen. if you dont like them because they are not your local card shop, thats fine, but to say this incident is THE reason you would not use them is a weak argument

Very pleased with the result. I ended up getting PSA 10 on 11 out of the 14 cards. One of them was one of the bigger cards in the order. The other three grades were one PSA 9 and two PSA 8.
