So my Best Man sends me a FB message asking "Do you remember the JJ Brannley's Story"

Now mind you I don't remember what I had for breakfast yesterday but I remember this story from 1989/90

We were at a local pub and getting ready to head out when a couple girls who knew people we were with. They asked if we could give them a ride home because the drive locked the keys in her car.

Bottom line we drove them home and we were talking. My friend worked, oddly enough, at the place where I work now but in it's former capacity.

The girls lived in the town where he worked and told them so. So one of the girls asked of he knew a guy that worked there. He said yes,
She continued and said that guy was her ex and he had a crazy current GF who tried to run her down in a parking lot. After some more talking we find out that the crazy ex was also the ex-wife of my friend and she truly was crazy.

My friend is at the children's hospital in Columbia with her daughter. She woke up sick to the point of the ambulance having to take her to the local hospital. They didn't run tests and said it was a virus. I really hope she's ok. I told them to call if they need me and I'd drive down there.

She's having trouble walking and stuff. They are going to run all kinds of tests.

Is it a smaller hospital? I was born in another county from where I lived because no one wanted to take the risk of having their babies at the local small hospital.

Compared to the hospitals in Columbia, yes. Compared to the hospitals in cities our size, no. They claim to win a lot of awards for patient care, but everybody in town hates them.

Edit: FWIW - I would recommend a simple high-efficiency gas furnace - the heat pump technology is new, and sometimes the fixes take a long time to get right due to the lack of experienced techs and/or parts issues.

It sounds like we need all new duct work no matter what option we go with. We will look into gas. Thank you.

They are back home. Viral infection that lead to some muscle issues. She couldn’t walk when they got down there. They gave her some IVs and medicine. Got to rest and make sure she stays hydrated for a few days.
