Its hard to take pictures when your cat is as into this project as you are...She kept jumping on the couch. I had to pause my project to run to the school for my son. When I got back, she was laying on some of the cards.

Awesome thread Josie! I may have missed it, but what's the reasoning behind the choice for 1994 products?

Love seeing those old time serial numbers. I wonder if really low ones or really high ones would bring a premium.

Great cards Josie, good luck with your next break!

I was still focused on baseball and basketball as a kid in 94. I wanted to get the true experience. Its been really fun so far. Thank you.

Did a 4 box break for my birthday...

First up:

Collector's Edge Excalibur, 75 card set, almost put together a complete set from this box. Only missing #41. Got the only box available on ebay. Every card has a quote on the back about the player made by Sir Dick Butkus. Fun break. 8/10:

Flickr is blocked at work so I can't get a larger pic but the "fringe" bottom may be a packaging defect where they sealed the pack and it hit the card edges.

It hit the same player twice. Gotta love that.

Skybox Impact, 300 card set, won an action on ebay for this and was one of my cheaper boxes so far. Would have love to see more inserts and broader card designs. Overall still a fun break. 6/10

I know the break wasn't terribly exciting, but Impact was my favorite set from that year in terms of design. Clean, simple, and sharp looking. I also really loved the out of focus/frosted look of the stuff in the background, really makes the player pop on the card!

I agree about the stuff in the background. I saw several cards that had phenomenal backgrounds. It does have a nice overall clean look. I will try to find some of my favorites this weekend. Thank you for commenting.
