I like the Foxx. All the Goudey’s really. What do you look for in ‘33 Goudey set when you’re buying? Price, player, need, registration, grade?

So long as the card doesn't have any creases that detract to much from the eye appeal and its centered decently I'm picking it up if I don't have it yet and its a HOFer. I try not to go higher than 3 grades because they can get pricey but the color, registration and centering on that Cochrane were so good I couldn't pass it up. The Herman was just to have a comically cut up card in the run tbh. The dealer I bought it from picked up >100 Goudeys off a gentlemen who said they were all cut like this and glued into an album at some point. The backs add even more flavor - for example on this Herman, paper loss from taking the card out of the album caused half his name on the back to go missing so someone wrote in the remainder of his name in pencil. |

A few pickups. I checked CGC pop reports and I think my 2011 Topps Update Goldschmidt Black /60 got a CGC 9. I sent it through COMC and there wasn't one there before I sent it. I am the only idiot that would send a card like that to CGC as well. I just wanted to make sure the card didn't have a serious issue and felt safer just getting it graded. I didn't want to pay the PSA fees to grade a card and for $18 it was worth it to me. Hopefully they didn't put the card in a baggy inside the slab. Hopefully it shows on COMC soon!

Awesome card! I've been on the lookout for the Pettitte for a while now. Had a coworker ask me what my grail Pettitte card is and I actually picked the Starting 9. I remember opening a ton of the product as a kid and just getting excited with the warning track parallels.

I guess I’ll share this too then. Not the starting 9, but another big pettitte card I’ve been chasing down. Got it this past weekend.
I’ll keep an eye out for you on the S9 ronzo ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
