Add a heat pump to the current model. It would save us money on oil. We would use about 2/3 less a year.

Start fresh and get a heat pump in the attic with all new duct work.

Get a new oil furnace that is more energy efficient than what we currently have. This was suggested to us because we have a full tank of oil.
Option 4 seems easiest but maybe a bit short-sighted. If the alleged crack is verified you'll end up having exhaust gases mixed into the heat flow which is not good. I think it all hinges on the crack.

The gentleman that came out on Tuesday was unable to find any issues with the furnance and cleared it for use again. We installed a carbon monoxide detector. He had a much better camera and longer scope than the 1st technician that came out. He looked for 20 minutes and showed me the inside of the furnace. The 1st tech said it was rusted out. I saw no rust damage at all. I was actually surprised with how well it looked. He called a fellow tech who only works on oil furnaces. He said the model we have rarely cracks and when it does, it's always in the same spot. He looked exactly where is associate said to and didn't see anything.

Well if you are satisfied there is no crack and nothing showed on the CO detector then options #1 (roll with current) or #2 (add heat pump to current to cut oil use) would seem to make the most sense.

I just revisited this and I'm wondering if I missed some sort of joke here?

I read this five times and couldn’t figure out what the heck you were saying.

I then read it with my mind in the gutter and it made sense!

You dawg you!!!

Sadly the show sucked big time for me. It was just one of those days. Didn't have a single sale for the first 2 1/2 hours of the show. Also didn't have any for the last hour and a half. Hopefully tomorrow will go much better.

Are you sure the husband wasn't in the rolled up carpet?

I didn't think that was a euphemism for anything.

Waiting for it to get light so someone can go and check the fields and text that games are canceled for today. Jr. left his glove at the field Thursday. Thankfully, his coach saw it and has it.

Leaving for the show in about 15 minutes. Woke up 30 minutes before the alarm and there was no way I could even try to go back to sleep.

Have a day everyone.

Brings back memories of heaving bags of Quick-Dry and driving around with a trunk full of other kids' forgotten equipment.

Chilly this morning after those storms last night. I’m going to Barefoot Landing to do some shopping and then to Bass Pro.

PA is so weird. We always owe, until we put in our 529 contributions.

I have to take the youngest to the movies to see Minecraft with a bunch of his friends. Hopefully they don’t act like idiots like others have during the movie. It’s about 20 minutes away so I’ll probably just go to Walmart for a while and then just read my book. Seems like a waste to go home and back.
