$1,200 OOS. Not surprised, just figured it might go a little lower with so many products being released on top of each other across all sports.

Optic Football seems to be the product everyone wants. Blasters are selling like it's early 2021 again.

I'm not saying the product going to cool off much, but I think in about a week everyone is going to realize how common the "Uptowns" are and the early buyers on ebay are going to feel sick to their stomach.

I think Downtowns will stay pretty consistent but Uptowns and Dual Downtowns are going to tank 50% or more from recent sales.

No way uptowns are case hits. SP's maybe, but they are way too common.

I don't feel like it is. You have to remember it's missing the one thing that made optic rated rookies such a chase. On card autos of big players. Yeah, you'll get autos, but...$900 for a Michael Pratt on card rated rookie just doesn't seem like the hit one would want.

Penix, JJ, ...McConkey I guess ...Thomas....that about does it for Panini. I feel like Downtowns are more common in retail this year than Hobby boxes if that's your thing.

If you're throwing $900 on this no matter what, I would go retail blasters and megas. Hobby boxes of this...nah

Has there even been a hobby box that's been opened?

Not that I'm aware of. I'm basing this on Donruss from this year. Hobby optic could prove me wrong.

who knows, but they are selling for prices as if they were. i've seen a few cases opened and the uptowns seem to be falling 2-3 per. idk if this is a mistake or not. to be fair though, the downtowns were falling several per FOTL box last year and nobody questioned if they were still case hits or not.

Well you are stating multiple things as a fact when clearly no one knows yet. I have zero vested interest in hobby prices and retail as I have none of either but acting like retail is the best thing ever and hobby sucks right now is ridiculous. More often than not hobby is a way buy once prices settle. Retail is very watered down with a bunch of cheap cards that you'd make less than minimum wage trying to sell.

No one is throwing $900 on Optic hobby. The price manipulators may not sell .1% of their combined inventory at that price. Just like almost every other Panini football and basketball product well over MSRP. You will be able to get Optic hobby on release day or shorter after well below that. I

1.) my retail comment was solely on optic as it’s showing to be very valuable and a great buy thus far with all the retail out there

2.) I’m speaking as a rare collector. I know it’s mind blowing, but some people still enjoy this hobby to collect cards and not just automatically put them on eBay.

Usually hobby is the way. You’re making a blanket statement out of ONE product I was speaking about.

100% agree. I bought three without doing any research what was in them. What a terrible rip. In the three value packs I got one holo. The rookies were terrible. Everything else was base.

The "Uptowns" are so dumb. No one was asking for another case it.

And I really hate that they say "Uptowns". It's one card. It should just say "Uptown". A Kaboom case hit doesn't say "KABOOMS!". A Downtown case hit doesn't say "DOWNTOWNS". Annoys me more than it should.

Exactly how rare are these Uptowns supposed to be? Pulled a Drake Maye Uptown, and there seems to be plenty for sale on ebay

The issue is difficult to find blasters or Megas at a normal price. I found a few online this week and found some in stock at one store, but they are virtually impossible to find online at one of the retail stores. I have an app on my phone that sends me a notice the second a store has stock, and I can literally click and within 2 to 3 seconds they are sold out - hopefully we’re just beginning of the run of product, and if not, it’s not even worth the chase.

Anyone buying this 2024 Optic obviously did not see how overprinted 2024 Prizm was.

I just ripped a case of hobby blasters. Zero uptowns or downtowns.
