So many of todays kids are squishy soft.
Squishy soft? Some people on here can relate.

42 runs/points in under 2 hours? You sure you weren't watching spring football?

Had a good visit as always with B&K. We didn't talk too much about Thursday. I feel I am back to a point where I didn't need to. They were shocked at what I did tell them even though I held some stuff back.

In Thursday's game, the other team replaced their catcher in the 3rd inning with a kid who was very small. Someone in our dugout commented on how small the kid was. The home plate umpire heard the comment, stopped the game, and made a big deal about the comment to our coach and saying he would forfeit the game to the other team if anyone on our bench said one more thing about players on the other team.

That small kid ended up getting a foul ball off him where the shin guards didn't protect and was doubled over in pain and had to leave the game in the next inning.

Our coach is constantly getting on my son about throwing side arm and getting in front of the ball. Why does he think he doesn't have to do these basic fundamentals? He sees Bo Bichette do those things every night in MLB making millions.

We should send the oldest SD up your way.

Thankfully. King George has at least a financial class in high school that teaches you about money and balancing checkbooks and such. No such classes were offered back in MD when the girls went to school.

Baseball doesn't do chants down here. As you said, that's for the girls playing softball. We could hear them on the field behind us.

No. He's only come down once for one of the fire station banquets. Usually she travels up to the Baltimore area to see him.

Happy Easter. Should be a good drama filled Sunday.

My blood pressure was 100% fine again last night. I think the thought that I have hypertension is a nothing-burger from the doctor.

I work with a lot of people who have a lot on common with your SD. We can trace back a lot of what they are dealing with to one central trauma and things keep building from there. Until they stop running from their inner demons, they keep going back to what keeps them at bay. Everyone either gets tired of running and faces them head on or the inner demons catch up. I think its really beneficial to have a third party involved that accepts them for who they and where their at in that moment then walk along side them without any judgment. Go in knowing they are going to have set backs and thats ok as long as they are committed to recognizing that and keep trying to move forward.

I got my blood pressure taken by one of those wrist cuffs and it came back super high. They made me take a class and get checked out. Turned out it was fine when taken manually. No issues.

I threw 3/4 my entire baseball career. I mostly pitched, and that 3/4 coming in around 93 was affective. Gave all my pitches some crazy movement. I threw a sweeper and would start it behind the right handed batters.

Sometimes I wonder what could have been if I’d stuck with baseball and focused on it. I just got bored with playing the game and football was more important. Until it turned its back on me and ended my playing career.

I HATE the chants. I don’t understand it. I put a rule in our league that all chanting must conclude before the pitcher starts his delivery and can only be towards the team chanting. We had an issue year 1 of the partnership with chants towards the other team. 1 team was making monkey sounds towards a kid and I wasn’t going for that. Had a parent tell me “it’s part of the game”. I told him I played baseball from 4-19 and never had monkey sounds be apart of any game I played in.

I did tell 1 coach that teaches his team chants that he’s coaching the wrong sport and that if he spent more time teaching the game and less time teaching chants they might not get mercy ruled every game.

Cough is back. I thought I had this thing beat but I guess I did too much yesterday. Guess I’ll just sit down today.

It is kind of ridiculous that they would use that name for a kid's team, though.

Hey Hairy, I finished my book yesterday. I requested the next one in the series to come to my local library, I’ll probably get it Wednesday or Thursday.
