Or Tyrek Hill. But those under 6' WR that are special. Seem to come once every decade.

I just looked at the top 25 in receiving yards for 2025. Every single one of them was 6' or taller. With one exception, Zay Flowers at 5' 9". But he clocked in at #19 with 1059 yards

Bears need help on either lines. Not a TE that they already have.

No argument. It's great to see the Bears floundering. Loveland is a great player.

It shows what a joke their organization is . They had one plan, pick one of the OTs or Jeanty when it was time to make their selection. They didn't have a back-up plan if it didn't happen. No way Loveland was their top pick on their board !!! They should have had a plan to trade down, receive an asset and still picked Loveland.

I think people would've respected the pick more if it had been Tyler Warren, but who cares?

Bears have been a 4th place team many years running, and they likely will again.

They had clear need for youth on OL and waited so long they eventually picked a guy who got demoted LT to RT in college level... and later another guy demoted LT to LG.
Their overpriced 32 year old offensive line "big" trade and their other coming-off-injury OL trade/FAs will only be a temp fix, and they'll be right back to this spot of porus OL in a year or two.

The best Chicago pick was probably Burden III, but that WR position was the furthest thing from a need for them (have Rome, DJ Moore, now Loveland... would imagine KAllen retires or continues to fade in productivity).

Bad teams make bad moves... and it's sad to watch.
There are only about 10-15 NFL teams really trying and making moves and attractive to FAs at any given time. Chicago is just not one of them, and they haven't been in quite awhile.

Lions got some good players and a couple of projects. Egyptian Edge will be a hero among the Detroit middle eastern community. Solid draft given what they had to work with.

While I would have loved for Da Bears to trade down, it's not always easy finding a willing trade partner. I think most of the teams in the top 10 would have been willing to trade down a little. But who was desperate enough to trade up?

When the top OTs and Jeanty were off the board, I would have preferred for the Bears to take Walker or Williams at 10. But I'll give the benefit of the doubt to Johnson for now.

Loveland will do well in a BJ offense if Caleb can stay upright long enough to get him the ball.

Is this statement a euphemism?

Anyway, I think MIN, DET, and CHI all got better and my Packers are just treading water. Two WR with our first 3 picks?! Our defense is going to get shredded.

Not sure if its the same for everyone. But in order of how they show in Google for me. Here are the 2025 Draft Grades.

NFL.com
https://www.nfl.com/news/2025-nfl-dr...r-all-32-teams

Chicago Bears B+
Detroit Lions B
Green Bay Packers A-
Minnesota Vikings B

Fox Sports
https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nf...-teams-classes

Chicago Bears A-
Detroit Lions B-
Green Bay Packers B
Minnesota Vikings C

Bleacher Report
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-scouting-dept

Chicago Bears A-
Detroit Lions C+
Green Bay Packers C+
Minnesota Vikings C+

PFF
https://www.pff.com/news/draft-grade...2025-nfl-draft

Chicago Bears B+
Detroit Lions B-
Green Bay Packers B-
Minnesota Vikings C-

Yahoo Sports
https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/article...002713678.html

Chicago Bears B
Detroit Lions B
Green Bay Packers B
Minnesota Vikings C

Doesn't seem like many agree with what the Vikings ended up with.

The 2023 Lions draft grade was a C. So grades are as worthless as mocks a week after the draft.

Overall, I think Loveland and Burden will be day one starters. I like the big man pick of Trapilo. Even though that feels like a homer pick for GM Poles. As he played at Boston college with Trapilo's Dad.

I am not a fan of the Hyppolite pick. Even less so, being a 4th rounder. Our outside LB Sandborn is gone. And our middle, Edmunds, probably wont make it past this year on his contract. We needed LB help and depth. But I m not sold on this guy.

Id also have rather seen a RB picked sooner.

Round 1 (No. 10): TE Colston Loveland, Michigan

Round 2 (No. 39): WR Luther Burden III, Missouri

Round 2 (No. 56): OT Ozzy Trapilo, Boston College

Round 2 (No. 62): DL Shemar Turner, Texas A&M

Round 4 (No. 132): LB Ruben Hyppolite II, Maryland

Round 5 (No. 168): CB Zah Frazier, UTSA

Round 6 (No. 195): G Luke Newman, Michigan State

Round 7 (No. 233): RB Kyle Monangai, Rutgers

Well, ESPN made it official. 2025 NFL draft: Ranking the 100 best picks, steals, fits.

In the top 10 for best picks in the entire NFL draft.

7. Colston Loveland, TE, Chicago Bears (Pick 1-10)

And the #1 best pick?

1. Luther Burden III, WR, Chicago Bears (Pick 2-39)

https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2025/s...am-fits-trades

The Packers didnt appear until #21 of 100

21. Matthew Golden, WR, Green Bay Packers (Pick 1-23)

Vikings not until 45.

45. Donovan Jackson, G, Minnesota Vikings (Pick 1-24)

And the Lions bottomed out, not appearing until 58

58. Tate Ratledge, G, Detroit Lions (Pick 2-57)

After the ups and downs and headaches and turmoil surrounding Kwesi's drafts, I can live with a C for this year's.

When it comes to meaningless off-season accomplishments, like draft grades, nobody touches the Bears!

Matt Miller. Which you would have seen, had you clicked the link.

With over a decade of experience covering the NFL Draft, Miller appears across ESPN platforms on NFL Live, SportsCenter, Get Up!, NFL Draft and Mock Draft specials, ESPN+ exclusive programs – including numerous mock drafts and scouting reports, ESPN Radio and more.

Before joining ESPN, Miller was Bleacher Report’s lead NFL Draft writer from 2010-2021 where he contributed mock drafts, scouting reports, in-depth stories and he became the most-read author in the history of the website. Prior to Bleacher Report, Miller worked as Director of Scouting for New Era Scouting from 2006-10
