Better get used to it. Imagine how bad the delays will be when they start licensed football and basketball.

Almost May. Still not even a release date. Remarkable.

Wondering, I guess to myself here, if this ends up being a 2024-25 multi-yr release.
I mean honestly it might as well be, just do a release that covers both yrs now, and get back on schedule. |

2023 Topps Dynasty was released March 22, 2024, which seemed absurdly late.
Will 2024 even come out in first half of 2025? It just doesn't make any sense to me. Fanatics is releasing plenty of other product. What the heck is going on with this set, their highest end baseball product? |

2023 Heritage High Number was released 12/13/23. 2024 Heritage High Number was released a month ago on 3/25. So with a delay date of three+ months, I wouldn't be surprised to see Dynasty released in June or July.
This is the new norm.

The further delay helps the build up to their goal of $9999 per sealed case on release day.

Even breakers would have a tough time with that price. 5 box case and $2000 for 1 card??? That would be crazy.

Why do people still care about this product? It’s the same thing year in and year out. There isn’t much variety to the designs and even the top names can be had for less than a box price

Personally, I enjoy the design of the RPAs in dynasty and agree I would only buy singles after the initial launch buzz comes down vs buying into a break. If you buy into a break of this, you clearly enjoy lighting money on fire

Totally agree buying unopened boxes or breaks is burning money, but I am happy to pickup my favorite players on the aftermarket for a fraction of the price. It is crazy that Topps prices Dynasty so high now, but unless they raise the price, the breakers end up making more profit than they do on their product. The solution is for people to stop paying nonsensical prices for breaks, that is what is feeding the beast. |

This is 2023’s Dynasty checklist: https://www.beckett.com/news/2023-to...aseball-cards/ Some slots go unsold, some sell for below $10, some sell for $50-$100. The big names can get you much more. They might gripe a bit, but they could still buy at $2k a case. One way we know this is that while you see individual collectors and sellers complain about wax prices daily here, you don’t hear a peep out of established breakers. They are absolutely raking in money hand over fist right now. |

Yup. These products with long checklists and a low amount of actual cards, are a breakers dream come true: more money, less work. The prices will only go up for now until something drastically changes. Which is possible! Just not something I see on the horizon right now.

Specifically buy into breaks on the low to mid end teams simply to have dibs with some of the degens. It’s annoying when every Tom, Dick and Harry hops into the chat when a cool card is hit. The breaker is more willing to help connect of course, and there is SOME entertainment value (however brief).

This stuff got over 5k a case last year. I think this will drop around 7-8k and sell fast.

The only plausible revenue stream I thought I could have would be spamming all the breakers on twitter and posting the actual EV of the breaks they are selling then seeing if they would pay me to simply not post results lol. |
