Until his supporting cast changes (or improves), his numbers for this season (at least runs/RBIs) will dip.

Such a shame that someone so talented is being wasted...reminds me of the 90s with Barry Bonds and the SFG (or peak Trout +/- Ohtani with Angels).

He is not being wasted. He and his supporting cast made it to the playoffs last year, just fine, thank you.

Also, he's scored plenty of runs, finishing #2 last year, #7 the year before, and he's currently #8 this season. He was also #4 in RBIs last year and top 10 the year prior. Great players are capable of posting great numbers regardless who surrounds them.

Guy is claiming it was pulled from a target mega - pretty wild if true

just realizing witt didn't have a base card in regular topps chrome - I know there was the drama with the SPs but thats pretty crazy

Also, I meant in the moment, not in current day. Like, if as soon as it gets cut and Topps sees that it’s badly off center, just toss into the fire place and print another one on the spot. I’m not taking about someone sending back in later after pulling.

With a weak supporting cast, it'll be harder for BWJ to score runs, get HRs and RBIs.

There's no pressure on pitchers to throw good pitches to him when you have batters hitting .182-.223 around BWJ.

Honestly, I'd just pitch at the edge/outside the strike zone and hope he chases. If he walks, who cares? You can get the easy India/Vinnie/Salvador outs anyway.
