Personally, I've always tried to date financially competent women for any serious/ongoing relationship (just makes life easier and more drama free). I did it a few times by accident, and it's better than dating someone who can barely pay their rent and bills... but I'd definitely draw the line at significantly older/uglier if I weren't attracted. In the end, it's a free country. Some ppl are more overt about it than others.

There is some website, can't remember it... sugardaddy or paid2date, etc. I have met some women in bigger cities who make fairly good $ using those (they go out to lunch a few times a week with guys for $, but they date who they want at the same time). Basically loser guys pay for dates with women hotter than they'd get, not even with any guarantee of anything. Dudes are incredibly dumb.... just look how profitable strip clubs can be for that reason.

Well yeah, if they want the relationship ongoing and/or want a big target (BB gf here).

But if a reasonably attractive women just wants to do some lunch or chats with normal loser guys and live in a big enough city that there are high supply of them between a few date apps where guys pay them to show up, then they really don't have to put out. Again, many guys are absolutely pathetic... even rich ones. It's no self esteem or no skill with women or whatever. I'm embarrassed of our male species and the spineless beta behaviour basically every day in one form or another.

It's really not intuitive to pick up women unless you have good mentors/examples for it and/or you're real fit and good looking... and most guys never learn game or have elite looks.
It's fairly true what they say: "the best looking guys will get the hottest women, and the rest of guys will just have to pay more."
