Ken Griffey Jr. has one of the smoothest swings in MLB history.
What active player comes closest to his smooth stroke? In contrast, who currently has the most violent swing in MLB baseball? |

Kyle Tucker has a smooth swing. He even played Ted Williams in a documentary, partislly because of their similar swing: https://www.newyorker.com/sports/spo...e-ted-williams

Even though Griffey had a graceful follow-through, his swing was kind of long and very violent. He generated a lot of torque and the bat would violently whip through the zone. Last edited by fabiani12333; 05-10-2025 at 04:36 AM. |

Harper's swing has been known to be one of the most violent in the sport, especially earlier in his career. He generates a lot of torque and whip in his swing, similar to Griffey back in the day.
Ohtani's is actually fairly graceful in comparison, with a bit of hitch and jerk to it. |

Smoothest swing 90s was definitely Griffey Jr., currently I would have to say it's Cody Bellinger.

I find it funny, almost all "Smooth" or Beautiful swings are from Lefties

I second Judge. It's so efficient.
Smoothest of all-time for me is Will Clark.
