Bought two hanging plants, one big potted flower arrangement for the front step and three potters for the deck. Also filled the bird feeder.

I really want to fill our flowerbed with perennials but they didn’t sell bulbs there.

The show today was massively mediocre.

Good crowd for the first half of the show. Sales reflected that. After 1:00 however was really bad. I am not really expecting anything tomorrow, being Mother's Day and all...

I really think things might be coming to an end with anything more than being friends with my friend. She’s been acting distant the last two weeks. Like we still talk, we walked back together from going to group lunch downtown Thursday and she rode in the vehicle I drove up to the employee lunch Wednesday and sat beside me during lunch, but things just feel different. I don’t know if it’s because her daughter’s dad had another kid or if I did something wrong, but I’m not going to beat myself up worrying about it. The ball is in her court, I’ve had a lot of women contacting me in recent months that I’ve ignored because we were spending so much time together, might be time to see what they’re all about.

It sucks, but it’s life. Hopefully our core friendship doesn’t end over any of it.

You need to go to, I think, Pittsburgh shows or Cleveland. They are always setting records for attendance, $1 cards sold and rank odor.

Way too far for me to travel. I only go to Raleigh twice per year because it is 11 hours each way. Wouldn't want to travel any further than that. Attendance wasn't the problem today so much as people being unwilling to go through boxes. Such is life.

Sorry to read this. Like you said, there isn't anything you can do. There may be forces at work behind the scenes that are beyond your control. If that is the case, then maybe you should look at other options.

It just hurts. Thought we had a deeper connection and things were going great. We went to that Savannah Bananas game, had a great time, things were great the next few days, then randomly she started getting more and more distant. Like we would still talk, but not as much. She hasn’t text me since Wednesday when I responded to her.

I guess I’ll give her space and start responding to some of these messages I have. Maybe she comes around and maybe she doesn’t. Just don’t want to lose the friendship.

I truly get it. You both (actually all 3 of you) have put time and energy into this and it sucks that this is happening. Makes me think that there is something (or someone) influencing her (or her daughter). The daughter having a new half-sister could be a part of it, but I doubt it. Maybe someone in her family? Could she have received credible threats from some bigot somewhere? Like I said: something beyond your control. Maybe you can ask her what is going on directly somewhere in private.

I don’t think it’s the daughter, she came in the office to drop off stuff people had bought from a fund raiser and ran straight to my office smiling.
