Honestly, I'd stay away. I'd bet that the vast majority of the good stuff has been found. Don't waste your money on sealed wax, hoping to land a giant, just go grab the single you want.

I'm still a buyer, but only at what I consider to be bargain/reasonable prices which are few and far between

I think I picked up two boxes in the last year. Pickings are very slim.

A group of us are trying to track down where all the 2012 Brady Prizm Golds are. I think we've found 5 of them.

Could probably do the same with Mahomes 2017 Golds. The lineup of studs who own each of those probably looks like a Chippendales calendar.

None of the bronze stars are numbered. It is a shame they did not number either the base or auto bronze.

Chiefs schedule - bit of a gauntlet through week 9 (although not horrible). Might depend on how the Chargers are and if they crap the bed like they always do. Second half looks good on paper. Lots of travel and Primetime games and non-Sunday games (Christmas, Brazil, etc). Can't wait for September!

No problem. I replied because it is something I am very interested in. I like to look at breaks and using hit rates of numbered cards I calculate approximate case numbers. If those bronze cards were numbered it would be very easy to calculate FOTL case numbers!

I absolutely hate the schedule.

The L.A. game gets played it Brazil.... the Las Vegas game is Week 18 where you can't even count on the starters playing.

Totally cuts off West Coast fans who want to see them live.

I seem to remember Panini saying the Bronze base cards were limited to /6 in 2017, as all of the documentation of my collection of Prizm stuff from 2017 that I collated says that they were /6. I also had the Kevin King auto in Bronze marked as being /20, which seems to be what I remember them saying at the time as well.

Recently picked up this case hit from 2021 Phoenix. Just thought it looked cool and is SSP (only 6 PSA 10s and none graded at BGS). I will miss the designs of the case hits from Panini, though know I am in the minority. I miss the days when people posted more of their pick-ups….

That rumor got out, but there were certainly more than 6 cards in circulation.

At one point that fractional share platform was trying to sell shares of 2 BGS 9.0 copies that they claimed there were 6 copies of, and I pointed out that I was able to trace more than that at the time. Based just off current pop reports:

4 PSA 10s. We can assume none of those have been regraded.
1 PSA 9 currently on eBay
1 PSA 4, which we can assume did not turn into as PSA 10 or PSA 9 upon resub.

Which leaves in the Pop reports:
3 PSA 9s
1 PSA 8
1 PSA auth (likely the PSA 4)
4 BGS 9.5s
6 BGS 9.0s
1 BGS 8.5

There can't be only 6 copies because there's no way that all of those cards above got resubbed into the PSA 10s.

Yeah, I don't doubt that the count could be incorrect. I could also see that Panini made more of some players than others. I liken it to the situation with Pink Prizm from 2014 - I personally pulled 2 Tom Brady pink prizms from the approximate 6 cases I ripped of Jumbo, and have seen multiple in the wild over the years. I had a couple players I pulled more than 3 of. Scott Tolzien (a backup QB for Green Bay at the time) I've seen two copies of since 2014 - one in a break right after the product released and one that sold this year a few months ago (right after I gave up looking for it). While I get he wasn't a sought after player, if he had the same drop rate of the Brady and the others I personally pulled, I should have seen far more of them. I would venture that /6 is the average for all of the Bronze Stars, not necessarily the actual print run of each player.
