Agree with this. I think probably everyone who actively posts on this thread likes R-Truth, but it's clear fake outrage what is happening right now because the vast majority (including all of us) wouldn't care if he was on the show or not before they decided to not renew his contract.

Absolutely like R-Truth, don't care much for Carlito.
I think (and maybe cuz I'm old) but there are others that i would rather have released before Truth. that being said, it sucks that anyone loses their job, but it's a business, so it's gonna happen

Honestly...looking over the main roster, there's really only a handful that are meh..

Otis, Tozawa, Maxine? Perhaps..

Natty? She's been getting praise for work in other companies and Evolve...so I dunno

Berto and Angel...Pretty Deadly? Perhaps...Apollo..he's injured so won't release him until he's back

B Fab, Candace, Michin? Sure..

I think Gargano and Ciampa are teetering on the aging veterans line, and they'd probably get same response as R Truth

Bully Ray brought up good way for Cena to get some heat. Say he never liked R-Truth and that he's the reason R-Truth is gone. He called the Rock saying let him go and it happened. You all like Truth and I did it to help ruin wrestling for you all.

Report out WWE made a offer to R-Truth but was for a big cut in pay. If he made that choice then really don't blame the WWE. R-Truth was used for almost nothing but a comedy act so he was making easy money even on a reduced contract.

You can still blame WWE. There's also a report that he was only making $550k/yr. So sure, they might have offered a contract, but it sounds like that contract might have been a slap in the face.

Justin tries to act like Truth was never on TV and that people didn't care when he wasn't. And that's simply not true. He might not have been on every single week, but he was on most weeks. Not every mid carder gets TV time every week. Fans don't get outraged over a guy missing a week here or there.

Truth was tag champion a year ago. Truth was one of the best parts about Judgement Day. He had a least one televised match a month. He wrestled a ton of house shows before the company cut those. He was great enhancement talent. He sold merch (currently has a top 20 shirt, pretty darn good for a mid carder). He put on entertaining matches, he put on entertaining promos. He made Miz likable. He did whatever the company asked. And you need guys like that in the company.

Yes, I get it, it's a business. They made a business decision. But let's cut the crap about not understanding why fans are upset about this. He was a fan favorite personality. And just like Jey and YEET, Truth's character isn't something that you can just throw anyone into.

I don't act like he was never on TV, and people DIDN'T care when he wasn't. That's no disrespect to him as I've already said I like him. But if he wasn't on TV the next 4 weeks and was under a contract would any of us be like "Where is Truth? Why aren't they using him?" Nope. That's my only point.

If (and I'm going to pick someone I don't like here) Seth Rollins isn't on TV, you're going to be like "Where is Seth?" That's the difference. And for the millionth time, I'm not going to argue with you because I'm sure you'll craft something that is arguing to argue. I'm good. I stated my opinion and thoughts, if you want to put words in my mouth, go for it.

Yeah and he was hardly ever in the ring. He was cashing easy paychecks to do very little. WWE so mean to him. Nope he got a offer turned it down. He is 53 years old his prime is way behind him. Most guys his age still trying to get in the ring are broke and wrestling indie shows for a few hundred bucks. Him getting a 6 figure salary is pretty darn good. To say only making 550K a year? That is huge money for the little he did. If WWE made a offer of half that is really good money for what he did.

Be like if a person is in there 70s still working a job but only now can push a broom around because they can't do what they used to do but everyone likes the person and the company keeps the person around just because of that.

If he can make as much or more at TNA more power to him but sometimes you got to eat your pride and know a paycut is better then no paycheck or less at another place.

You have no clue what, or if, he was offered a contract. Where the report came from even said they didn't have confirmation.

I hope you keep this same energy for Roman Reigns. Since you want to sit here and act like Truth was stealing from the company.

But hey, maybe someone from TKO will see all your white knighting for them.

People pay to get tickets to see Roman. People don't pay to get tickets to see R-Truth.

Being paid millions to never get in the ring. But sure, be outraged over what Truth made

Fans have every right to be upset at WWE and TKO. A contract doesn't clear them of that. And whatever it was, he obviously thought it wasn't fair. As Kross said, Truth and Carlito are going to be just fine, so GTFOH with your idea that Truth should have swallowed his pride and taken the deal.

$550k is not huge money in WWE. Reports out there are that minimum salary for main roster is around $350k.

And you do realize that HHH and WWE are the ones that chose how much to use him, don't you?

No, they don't. I haven't seen that Truth was offered a contract and he turned it down, but regardless, either they chose not to renew him in general which is their right, or they offered a contract (regardless of the dollar amount) and he turned it down. (which is his right).

They have no obligation to do what any of us want (and a lot of the time they don't). This is even strange for you to be freaking out over R-Truth, a guy you've almost never cared enough to post about other than:

https://www.blowoutforums.com/showpo...ostcount=45161
https://www.blowoutforums.com/showpo...ostcount=45820

and this one just a few short weeks ago!
https://www.blowoutforums.com/showpo...ostcount=45820

Fake outrage.

Yes they do. Just like fans have a right to be upset when their favorite sports team doesn't resign their favorite player.

For you to cry about me trying to put words in your mouth, you sure did a great job putting words in my mouth. I never said they have an obligation. It's their right to release who they want. What I did is laid out the case for why fans are upset.

You are nothing more than a corporate shill. It's truly amazing how you just blindly defend everything they do

This is definitely a take.

If you want to call me a shill, cool? I don't know what kind of shill I am given I criticize the guy they are pushing hardest right now and the angle they are pushing hardest on a weekly basis, but good for you man!

If you want to call "they just aren't getting over for me" criticism, go for it.

I love when the news first broke about Truth that you made a comment that Truth brings a lot of value to the company and disagreed with nightman's comment about that type of person's services being needed. Yet as soon as the conversation turned to fans changing for him, you immediately changed your tune.

I point out the lack of chemistry, the lack of logic in bringing Reed into the faction after having just feuded with Rollins with no explanation of why they'd join forces, and how Rollins overall has been overpushed his entire career but sure dude.

I think you just like to argue because you're bored, so have fun. This may be easier if you just don't mention me, I would be good never discussing Wrestling with you again.

And this is why the old guard and hangers on are being let go. WWE is bringing in fresh talent and elevating the young ones. Change is good, people.

Mariah’s full name is Mariah May Mead so if WWE don’t want to use “Mariah May” as her WWE ring name

On the bright side, with Truth out of the comedy veteran role he held for so long, maybe this gives another stale talent a new breathe of life. It could be the jolt an Otis or Tozawa need to get a little run going.

Truth was floundering at one time before the Little Jimmy idea really gave him something to run with.
