Ever since I dove into vintage, I've had my sights on a mount rushmore type piece that is considered by many to be the most beautiful card ever created: The 1911 Turkey Red Cabinet Ty Cobb. At 5 3/4" x 8", it looks like it would be at home framed in a museum, behind glass and a velvet rope. With its blue, green, red, pink, and orange colored sky, it has always reminded me of a larger, much more elaborately detailed version of the T-206 Ty Cobb "Bat Off" version.
When I saw this beautiful specimen as the main attraction at an Auction House, I threw in a bid, and (im)patiently waited for a month - and won! Aesthetically, the front is free from anything wrinkles or major blemishes, though the back has paper loss - it presents like a $50,000 card. Thanks to the paper loss, I was able to get it for a fraction of how it presents. I have never seen one that presents so nicely, in a grade so low. The majestic Turkey Red issue of the Georgia Peach has been featured on many magazine covers over the years, and has made appearances on television. I'm happy to have finally landed one!

Thanks! Life has finally settled down a bit to where I can pick it up again ... I'm hoping to do so in the next few months, if all goes well!

Don't even care what the back looks like. The front looks amazing for a poor grade.

This right here fits my vintage collecting tastes perfectly. I really couldn't give much of a rip for the back, and target bad backs if the fronts look like a million bucks!
