VJ seemed legit, excited to see him v OKC tonight. Justin Edwards needs to do more. Adem Bona looked more explosive and more muscly.

Honestly after his showing I expected him to show up with an injury for the rest of summer. No way they were going to have him play much more.

I’ll take the under here, unless he gets up 35+ shots.

(I really like Jaylen Wells, and assume he’ll be primary defender)

They have Wells on Cody and GG on Bailey. Wells guarded the opposing team’s best player all year last year. So either GG requested the matchup, coaching staff wants to improve his on-ball defense, or they’re just intentionally disrespecting Bailey.

Update: GG subbed out and they still don’t have Wells on Ace, so it’s just disrespect.

Ace playing like he's quickly warming up to the prospect of settling in Salt Lake.

Cam 5/6 on three's for 17 points in the first half.

Grizz can't miss from 3.

Its astounding to me that the Jazz (or any team, for that matter) actually believed that Clayton was a legitimate NBA prospect, much less a first rounder.

I feel like certain decisions in life are just intrinsic, and do not require any specialty training or certifications.

It’s genuinely amusing when you think about it. The criticism of Ainge in recent years is he overweights high school pedigree and ignores the college year(s). So he drafted Ace and Clayton in a series of overcorrections.

I was under the impression his role has greatly diminished these recent years and the brunt of the work has now been passed down to his son?

Probably moot anyways, as I can imagine this is just a mormon Bron/Bronny scenario behind closed doors.

You know Ainge Sr. got that Clint Eastwood dawg in him.

Not a fan of clear nepotism at any level of an organization tbh.

Feel spoilt by the Pacers. 6 point game with a minute left and no part of me feels Griz have the remotest of chances simply because their uniform isn’t yellow.

So why is a 3-point shot determined from where you take off and not where you land?

GG just Hali'd.

Zebras need to give us OT. This is the only joy either franchise will experience all season.

edit: smh. Donaghy'd again. Somehow Malik just cashed a 6 figure parlay.

He inverse Hali’d. Left side of the floor is lava for Hali, and toe on the line down 3 not 2. If he’d done the choke refs would have been compelled to add 5 more.

Haha I’m genuinely intrigued by a Wells/Coward wing combination. Won’t pay off this year, but there aren’t too many 2-way wing combinations in the league that have that type of potential. Tatum/Brown, OG/Mikal, Nesmith/Siakam, Dyson/JJ, Amen/Tari, Herb/Murphy, Ant/Mcdaniels, Jdub/Dort, Braun/Cam Johnson. 10th best wing duo in the league potentially? That’s kind of fun.

KCP's days in the SL are definitely numbered. Really like Wells as a catch n' shoot, but not sure how high his upside is as a shot creator/playmaker. Feels like he always knocks it down when they find him in the corner though.

I'm rooting for Coward strictly off the strength of the reverse correlation. Dude's had the cards stacked against him since he emerged out the placenta. Always down for a feel good Dick Trickle hero arc.

Still waiting for the Pacers first game. Cause that is the only reliable source of second round prospecting.

That's SoCal. SLC no palm tree or lip botox, unless times have changed. Probably ex.

This guy on sports card nonsense was convinced clayton should've been a higher pick just cause he had all those accomplishments in college

11/5/7 with 3 to's on 30/14% shooting splits against an actual pro-style defense.

'But he made so many critical plays and displayed the intangibles that you'd love to see if you're running an NBA franchise....'

It's actually crazy how little correlation there is between collegiate championship success and NBA success. It almost doesn't even exist.

Draft day elation/hopium is always the best time of the year. Everyone gets an SGA/KD (code for Neemias Queta/Malachi Flynn).
