I think it's cool seeing the crazy collections out there that just post their cards.

What I can do without are the influencers who are trying to shove stuff down our throats. But I just ignore them and move on. I get that they're trying to make a buck, but it's at the expensive of giving poor advice.

Anyone with a platform has a responsibility to handle it with integrity. Unfortunately with social media, everyone has a platform but not everyone is responsible with it.

Actually, no.

But it wouldn't surprise me if she learned this type of reckless advice giving from Geoff.

Which is my whole problem with this. I don't have issues with people making money off of cards...I'd be a hypocrite if I did. But what I do have a problem with is people who make money by being confidently incorrect about giving advice that could mislead other people who look up to them.

I actually sold 2 of the AD cards for $3000 and $3500. I paid about $50 each for them and knew not to hold. The amount of bad advice was unreal and made me a lot of money.

Are there any influencers who have modeled themselves after Buffet and publicly picked the dark horse, small ball, long term holds? You sure wouldn't get exposure on YT or Insta following that strategy, so I figure a forum is the place it would happen or not at all.

See the Cards HQ team built their basketball profitability locally on Trae, with maybe a sprinkle of Lamelo, Zion, Ja, and Select. I think the reason his 'no buy' was half-assed was because Trae is in a weird spot with the Hawks, they haven't been having much success with him at the helm, and his offensive production has fallen off (he also can't play defense so that's all he has)

That said, a Trae Young silver prizm psa 10 being ~$100 is certainly pretty unbelievable, I would guess he'd be above Lamelo at least
