yes, some guy asked in the entertainment chat if Upper Deck would take action against a user if there was "a glitch." someone private messaged him. presumably those guys figured it out pretty early. then the price changed to 3400 a case maybe an hour ago. but at least one guy bought hundreds of packs at that discounted rate, and I can see that one guy has already completed one of the insane achievements that nets you a sick auto set

Slightly different, I'd assume. I mean, the same general mess up...or vaguely close, but on a different scale, haha.

Sounds like 1 guy got $200k worth of product for $100k...roughly.

Insane. Good for them, I guess? I don't see how UD does much about that, except chalk it up to a mess up by someone. TONS of cards got moved off by a few users...

Is it really a good deal to go hard like that though? these are not physical so he cant resell sealed. The EV of the content is....I dont know, historically is it even that great especially at the given price point.....even at half price I dont think he will necessarily break even...especially with law of large numbers

Maybe he just really love 007, like the FUXM guy

I definitely didn't say it was a good deal, haha. IMO, even if he got 50% off($100k instead of $200k), he'd still lose 50%($50k). I saw the best cards he got. They're amazing. But, I suspect MAX they're worth $50k, if he didn't try and dump it all at once...then they'd be worth less.

With that said, losing 50% of $100k is "great" when compared to losing 75% at $200k.

I sure hope he loves Bond! He must! He does list on COMC but it doesn't look like he lists much...so, prices could stay afloat, at least somewhat

How does Upper Deck not have double even triple redundancy checking the prices before they go live on epack. But they let old products sit for years and then run sales where they can't even come close to the market price. Joke of a company it's amazing they aren't bankrupt yet.

No digitals in this set.

As far as the 007 thing goes, I'm sure they'd get a premium, especially on any of the Bond actors. I think there are only 3 cards that it'd be possible though. Base /199, Exquisite /175 & Dossier /179. The biggest problem I see is if you're attempting to find them on COMC. They put their watermark RIGHT where the serial number is

not that it matters much, but the price was not the problem in that snafu. The problem was that a "case" was listed as 5 packs, where in reality it was 10 packs.

This set seems to have been DOA on ePack/COMC, save a few deep pockets, when UD priced it like they did. I decided since I'm not on there anymore and I like the set, to see what I could do on COMC. I thought I'd spend about one off site box worth($250~) and see what I ended up with, "build a box" style.

It turns out not all that much, because relatively speaking, very little has come off. I spent 3~ weeks searching but really it was about 3.5~ hours in total. Day 1 of release and day 2 of release there was some activity(cards coming off), and I spent about 1~ hour searching each day. Day 3-21, very little came off, maybe 5-30 cards a day...and I probably spent 5~ minutes max per day searching.

Anyways, I won't be overly specific as to what cards I bought and sold(flipped) but here is how my little experiment went:

I bought 42 cards.

I flipped 36 of those cards.

I kept 6 of those cards(1 box worth).

I paid...nothing...I made $59.52

The 6 cards I kept:



Green Exquisites #'ed /175, /99, 75, /49 & /25
Seydoux Gemography /25

To achieve this result, I spent around $1,750~ & sold around $2,400~, so well over the $250 I initially thought I'd spend to build a box. I think this result is WAY better than the build a box option would have been...obviously

Was an interesting couple of weeks and it turned out well. I think this goes without saying... but singles > wax, as always.

I love doing the build-a-box. I started doing it when UFC Prizm first came out and decided to collect Miocic cards, I have almost the entire rainbow, save the 1/1, and still have a few hundo left over.
