Default Beware: International seller selling fake high end 90s Marbury cards

A few of these listings popped up in my filters a few minutes ago, I'm no expert but based on the fact that all have been cracked from PSA slabs with certs that have been deactivated I think it's an incredibly safe bet that they're all fake. Seller also listed them way under market value so all of the biggest listings were BIN'd within about 5 minutes of going live.

My concern is that whoever bought them will try to grade them, (hopefully) get denied by PSA/BGS/etc, and then try to sell them raw through ebay authenticity guarantee which would make them unreturnable if they pass. So definitely be on the lookout.

Listings:
Pair of '97 credentials: ebay.com/itm/267341477536
'97 PMG championship: ebay.com/itm/257033047970
'97 star rubies: ebay.com/itm/267341470563

I saw them when they went live but they looked off so I passed

What moron would buy that crap

Ha the Credentials pair was listed and sold at $6K, then re-listed and sold for $10K. Interesting.

They look like pretty good fakes if they are fakes. I'll leave that appraisal to the experts.

Are they fakes or backdoored sheet cut cards with custom serial numbers on them?

the PSA cert on a card saver should be (you'd think) enough cause to pause.
also, the cert on the ruby returns "We couldn’t find an item that matches this cert number."

if people are stupid enough to ignore all that, well, enjoy your 'card' i guess

Looks like these fakes (supposedly) were picked up buy a bigger player on IG who will obviously grade them. Interesting to see if PSA deems them fake or they make it through the grading process

Do you know who? I sure hope PSA wouldn't grade them again, they already did once and then deactivated the serial numbers so clearly they believe they're either sheet cut/backdoored copies with added serials or straight up fakes.

Anyone know what this means? "returned with an over amount"

They didn't want to pay the upcharge, and psa included the labels with the returned cards?

From the second listing of the pair of credentials.
Quote:
This card is not a graded card. It is a card that was returned with an over amount at the time of PSA grading. It is not a graded card, and the label was taken at that time to confirm the condition.

Appears to be nas - PMG and Rubies

He made a post with the same 2 cards saying "thanks from my brother in Korea" after the eBay sale

Will go through all the trouble of grading internationally but then won't pay the upcharge to actually have the cards graded (if that's actually what they meant) and then will turn around and list them for 25% of the most recent comps, not something I personally find very believable but who knows

Nope, different serial numbers, I personally find it pretty suspicious that one of marbury's rarest and most desirable cards serial numbered to only 13 (that hasn't sold publicly in 12 years) pops up a week apart both ungraded and both by sellers in Asia, but I'm not an expert.
